Craiglist people are nuts

I'd be careful. USA Today had an article last week about horses being "harvested" for their meat, which is prized in some cultures. It's become quite the problem in FL....horses in pastures just disappear and they've found some carcasses. The part about broken english and asking for a free horse has me concerned.

I'd skip CL and stick with the usual horse internet horse ad sites. Good luck, it's nice of you to help that woman (and horse) out.

Nobody is going to pay $1800 for a horse for meat. But I understand the concern.

I DO have an ad on the usual horsey spots (Dreamhorse, equine, horsetopia) and an ad at the vets office and local tack shop. This isn't my first time at the rodeo folks. I know what I am doing. The owner will be required to provide vet and farrier references, as well as a few other hurdles to be considered.

PS, I got a response again today in regards to the apology I sent her. Of course she never flagged my ad. Riiiiiiiight... Loser.

CL is so corrupt. Friend of mine last year wanted to get a puppy (one of the small designer breeds) and found one on CL. The pup was cheap and she should have known better BUT she sent money for the dog to be shipped to her. So of course she never got the pup it was a scam out of Africa. I really didn't feel sorry for her, I mean come on.:rolleyes1
CL has got some loons.
Its nice you are helping your friend. So many of us horse people would do anything for our friends and horse lovers.:)
