Craig leaving the DIS Unlimited.

As a DISer that came to the community because of the regional DISmeets, I value the folks that create the content and build community far more than the content itself. I'm so very happy for Craig and his family. Well deserved, tangible results from years of hard work. Excellence is Universal! May the Force be with You, always. Congrats Craig!!!

I agree that diversity of thought is a good thing. I hope they onboard people that have actual different perspectives or approaches to the parks - which may or may not be informed by what boxes they happen to check.

If we look back at older Best and Worst, Suck Doesn't Suck, Top 5...there was plenty of healthy debate, even slightly heated at times. I found this dynamic fun and entertaining.

Like many things, I think Craig's full impact will only be felt after he is gone. It was eye opening to me how bad the sound quality was on the podcast because Craig was too distracted to work his magic, even he said so. His technical skills were evident and I think was critical to the growth of the podcast. He will be missed, and I do hope we learn more what he has moved on to.

I think this gives the Dis more of a chance to reset. Would love to see some more diversity on the panel now. Would be great to get a POC, or maybe somebody who is straight with kids. Maybe even somebody who is not a liberal, would be interesting to actually hear diverse views on some of the topics that touch these areas. Would also be great if the new panel and these boards, would be more open to diverse views instead of blocking them. Free speech is a good thing, this is America, and we should hear different views on Disney, as the fan base is not a homogenous group.
First post?

I have to imagine that this opportunity is a dream come true for Craig and Kylie. Disney corporate has great benefits and I am sure the work Craig will be contributing to will be interesting and have an impact on all of our park experiences. Even if it’s in a small way it must be cool to know that you career will be felt by potentially millions of people who visit Disney every year.

Congratulations Craig, best of luck and hope to run into you in the parks one day!

When I saw the headline of the podcast I was a little worried, like what is wrong behind the scenes now to make Craig leave. But an offer at Disney seems like a can't pass opportunity.

I also like the farewell show format and keeping us all in the loop as much as they can.

Will miss hearing his input on various shows and seeing the shows/rides he documented. He always did a great job with the fireworks specifically.

Happy for him though as Craig always seemed very humble and hard working. It's always great to see people like that succeed in whatever they're

Definitely a great lost.

On the latest episode of “Connecting with Walt,” Craig dropped a cue about his successor (at 17:57), a voice familiar to the listeners of The DIS in its early days. Craig indicates that he had been perceived as its successor, back in the time.

Could it be Dustin West?
loool, not in a million years is that happening. He's moved on.

Going to miss Craig's input & dry humour. He's been a real rock for the show over the years he has been there. Lucky enough to have met him & Kylie a few times over the years. Fist time at DHS in 2017.
I just hope the production value doesn't falter due to his leaving.
All the best for the future & Disney have got a true fan & the hardest working person that the Dis has ever had.

I was SO excited to be right!!! So happy you’re back :).
That is exciting news! It would also be amazing if the Disneyland show could come back. The show was always engaging, entertaining, informative, and the team had such incredible chemistry. I know there's been reunions on Connecting With Walt, but a full DL show would be so cool!

I will never forget Tony's airport analysis podcast, where he reviewed all of the SoCal airports and the pros/cons of each, time to gate when factoring in travel time, etc. It was really cool. Mary Jo's Day 6 podcasts were also really incredible.

Very strange; not sure the best place to post this -- probably not in this sub-forum -- but for some reason the DIS Unlimited Podcast / YouTube sub-forum is not appearing in the main Disboards forum list currently. Had to maneuver just to get here, so not sure if anyone else will even see this, but figured it was worth mentioning.
