Love the box..why are chevrons so awesome? I do not care they just are.

Love your binder idea. I use One Note on my computer..which is basically a binder as well. It may not have a super fun cover, but I open it almost every day just to see things for our upcoming trip.

You son is a super cutie...I think little ones with glasses are extra cute. Glad you have a great team working with your for his eyes

Looking forward to seeing more of your crafts...I love being crafty and Disney Crafts...AWESOME!!

Ahh I love it!!
I'm going to start making my Disney binder soon so I can use all the ideas I can get!!! Actually since we're driving to Disney, it's going to be more of a Disney Roadtrip Binder!

Thanks for joining in guys! My husband loved the Disney binder so much that he wants one for every trip! He came home yesterday with 6 shinny new binders so I can "plan our next 6 trips" (which takes us into 2016).

Backdating fun!

Now that fall is in full swing and my calendar is starting to fill up, I started to get a little overwhelmed and worry Disney planning may go by the wayside this year. What is a sure fire way to ease busy nerves? A backdating calendar! Hooray!!

Here is what I came up with so far. Can you guys think of anything I am missing?

My DH thinks my spreadsheets are a little over the top, but DIS planners get it. And I LOVE your countdown calendar with the movies and activities, that is such a great idea! Thanks for joining in kayemgi! I am hoping I still have it together enough to follow through on the countdown colander. I did not do one last year, but we decided to take the trip kind of last minute.

We are a huge fan of spreadsheets in this household. It is how decisions get made. This is a slightly cleaned up version of the spreadsheet my husband and I used to determine the travel days. There were a lot of calculation fields that only make sense to him.

Did I mention he is an engineer? I am actually the free spirit in the relationship! Ha!

Haha my sister-in-law and a lot of my friends are engineers, so I know how that goes! Luckily my own tendencies fit right in with them.

I think if you just allow yourself some flexibility with the countdown calendar you'll be ok! Maybe allow a couple of those craft nights to be movie nights. (May I suggest A Bug's Life if you haven't seen it? I just watched it for the first time and it was adorable.) Did you have crafts in mind already? It might be tough to do so many in a row, but if you have them in mind ahead of time then you're probably good!

Bugs life is a great idea! I agree the craft calendar is a little ambitious, and I haven't planned any of them yet! I may switch it up with crafts and movie. Some crafts will probably be as simple as coloring a Mickey page, if I can get a Disney themed fine motor skills or counting exercise in the mix that will be great!

One of my husband and my favorite parts of planning our Disney vacation is the food! We both love food. Last year I printed the menus for our ADRs and we had so much fun looking through them and planning our meals. (We were also grateful we did this once in the park, because we were able to order as soon as we sat down, and this is very helpful when dining with a 2 year old).

You may notice there are 2 ADRs on most days. I know this is not how some people like to do Disney, but it is what we did last year and we loved having the scheduled sit down/rest times in the restaurants. I am a little worried about having 3 one day however, so I may move our character breakfast to the last day, but I also know it we may want to sleep later that last day.

This year we want to go back to some of our favorites from last year, and try some new things. We have a rough plan, but I am of course open to suggestions.

Here is our plan so far:

Magic Kingdom Day 1
Crystal Palace character Breakfast (may move to our last day)
Plaza lunch (this is one of DH's favorites! I never see it mentioned on Dis )
Ohana Dinner (our first time! )

Epcot Day 2
Via Napoli lunch
Le Cellier Dinner (both new to us restaurants)

Resort Day 3
pizza & landscapes of flavor

AK Day 4
We did Yak & Yeti last year but can't decide on anything this year...suggestions

HS/EP Day 5
Sci-fy lunch (also new)
Biergarten dinner (my favorite )

MK Day 6
Plaza for lunch (he liked it hat much!)
Dinner at QS or resort?
Dessert Party

This is kind of random, but if you read my trip report you know I LOVED the resort shampoo. So much so I gave it its own post.

Well as an early birthday gift husband ordered me this!

It is by the same company that makes the Disney shampoo. I love it!

Speaking of birthday, my next birthday is the big 3-0. I never really celebrate my birthday, I prefer to stay in, but since it is my 30th I feel I should do something. Suggestions?

lol! i'm sure you'll find lots of new things to do. really, you can't go wrong at Disney!

i'd love it if you did a chain like ours! we got all the stuff at Michael's--just stickers and scrapbooking paper. have you seen this one? I found it on pinterest and thought about doing it. it's so cute, but looked more time consuming then the one I did.

The holiday one if okay for 3...most will be actually. there are some that have some violence but most are just silly and fun. The original one with a roller coaster is just cute.

Your food reservations look like fun. We are big time sit down eaters at Disney as we love the time off of the busy. For the holiday we have 2 a day as well. It will be crowded so we know we will need the down time...plus character meals are so fun for all of us.

We are heading to Tusker House this year and hear it is a great meal for breakfast ...not been to Yak and Yeti but this is another animal kingdom try
