We are in the process of building a new home and I was lucky enough to be able to convince DH that we did not need and third full bathroom and that it would be better to use it as my craft room. Woo Hoo! (btw we are going to rough-in for bathroom fixtures in case we ever change our minds or for resale purposes. My question is in regard to lighting. For some reason my electrician is suggesting we use flourescent lighting because it "provides more light" than a standard bulb fixture. I am thinking that it will cause my colors to be skewed to appear more green in that light. He says there are some soft-lighting flourescent bulbs that don't cast such green light. I'd rather use light fixtures than lamps to provide the task lighting I'll need. Any opinions/suggestions??? TIA!

I personally would do resesed lighting. I love these, and you don't get as many shadows since it's mutlple lights vs 1 big one.

I know you're looking at light fixtures not lamps, but wanted to mention that I'd been looking at OTT lights because I wanted the "true colors" you get from them. While at Joann's I saw replacement bulbs by Tensor (I think). I ended up getting those because their base is like a "normal" bulb instead of those small ones on the OTT bulbs. Now I did put it in a lamp, but you could probably get some sort of recessed lighting that takes a regular bulb & these would be perfect.
