Keeping in mind it's a rumor, I'll answer the question the original poster posed. No, it wouldn't matter to me and no it wouldn't impact my vacation. Before anyone accuses me of being elitist, we've been going to WDW since my son was 3 and I was a single mother. I was a secretary and worked on the Saturdays his father bothered to take him for extra money. We went to WDW every other year since it took me two years to save for it. I didn't get child support and live in a college town so pay is low here for jobs like office work since you can get a college kid cheap. Now, I said all that to say, we never brought food into the park, it was my choice to buy food there. I'm a healthy eater and eat small meals about every 3 hours and have never had any problems finding healthy food in the parks. My son was allergic to dairy long before it was recognized, I had no problems finding things for him to eat and he was a toddler, I never had problems finding a healthy snack for him. My niece is diabetic, she has to do the whole shots and count her carbs thing, we have never had a problem finding things for her to eat in the parks. Again, I choose not to bring food into the parks, it's just too much of a pain for me to carry around things and, yes, I'm on vacation and I had to pinch pennies at home, vacation was my time to splurg.
