Hi Recipe/Scrap boarders! I am looking for some help with crab legs and potato salad. I bought some king crab legs today and want to make them tomorrow, but I have no idea how to do that. Also, I lost a recipe for potato salad that involved red potatoes, bacon and I think mayo. There were only a few ingredients and it was really tasty. Can anyone help, please?

When I cook crab legs, I grill them. I wrap them individually in aluminum foil. Then put them on the grill. Turn them a couple of times. I'd say I probably cook them for about 10 - 12 minutes. I usually am grilling steaks at the same time, and cook the crab legs about the same amount of time. Wrapping them in the foil, allows them to steam iand not get charred on the grill.

Can't help you with the tater salad. But I am looking forward to other replys for your crab legs.

I did a search on AllRecipes.com for the ingredients and this is what I found. I hope it helps.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

2 pounds clean, scrubbed new
red potatoes
6 eggs
1 pound bacon
1 onion, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
2 cups mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
1 Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add
potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15
minutes. Drain and set in the refrigerator to cool.
2 Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat.
Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.
3 Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium
high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
4 Chop the cooled potatoes, leaving skin on. Add to a
large bowl, along with the eggs, bacon, onion and celery.
Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Chill for an
hour before serving.

Thanks everyone, for the answers! I'm making the crab legs for the first time tonight, I'll let you know how they turn out.

Too late for this time, but this boiled method was recommended by our friendly neighborhood fish market guy:

Fill a pot with frozen crab legs, water and salt. Bring to boil (this can take awhile). When it reaches a full rolling boil, time it for 3 minutes, drain & serve.

He also recommended buying some small seafood kitchen shears, rather than using those goofy cracker things - woo-hoo, much faster!

I did end up boiling the crab legs, and boy were they GOOD!!! We'll definately be having those again. They were pretty hard to crack, but we just used really sharp knives and it worked out fine.
