Howdy everyone,

I am on a new Crab Cake obsession and I was wondering where to find the best Crab Cakes in "The World".

Thanks,
Frank :wizard:

Although I'm not a huge fan of crabcakes, I love the Maryland crab cakes at Libetry Tree Tavern in MK. They are delicious and I always wish I had my own order instead of sharing an order with my husband. (Next time I will get my own.)

Cap'n Jacks at DD is a must for us for lunch one day. It's always crab cakes and clam chowder.

Depends upon what sort of crabcake. All are not created equal. If you are looking for a tasty-sweet offering, the the spots already mentioned are fine. But if you want the genuine article--the Maryland crabcake with only jumbo lump crabmeat and Old Bay seasoning--you are apt to be disappointed.
And beware of the menu saying "Maryland style" etc. Almost always NOT the real thing.

Flying Fish. Don't know how "authentic" they are, but they are excellent. I get them every time I go.

Thanks everyone.

I will try a couple of these. I spend my weekends at the Jersey Shore and we have some pretty good Crab Cakes. I went to the Beer tasting at the Rose & Crown during the food & wine festival and I had some really great ones during our meal there. I don't think they are on the menu all the time.

Thanks again,
Frank :wizard:

Fultons crab house first, Captain Jack's second, IMHO.

I agree with Uncleromulus' view as well, but Fultons are fairly decent, although I REALLY love their Lobster and Crab bisque as well.

Has anyone ever tried the crab cakes that are on the lunch menu at the Concourse Steak House? I really loved the crab cakes at the Hollywood Brown Derby. I have a priority seating at the The Flying Fish in June and I'm going to try the crab cakes there.

I have to agree with this, did it last May and want to do it again this May! :flower:

The BEST crab cakes at WDW are at Hollywood Brown Derby in MGM and at Citricos in the Grand Floridian. :goodvibes

In February this year, I was so sad to learn the crab cakes are no longer on the lunch menu at the Brown Derby.

Citrico's? That must be the "Gateau of Crab with the sweet corn sauce". I need to brush up on my French. ;)
