going with 2 toddlers, being close to the monorail, MK, and Chef Mickey's is a freakin' huge plus.

However, so is SAB at the BC and the fact that the 3 adults going LOVE Epcot. It also wouldn't be too bad to walk through Epcot and get on the monorail there.. (right?)

thoughts?

If the adults love Epcot, stay at the BC. Certainly, it is nice to be on the monorail and near the MK for the kids, but the bus service from BC to MK is very good as well. However, if you plan to spend lots of time at Epcot, being so close is a huge benefit and (in my mind) outweighs the advantages of being close to MK.

You can walk through Epcot to take the monorail, but this is the long way of getting to and from the MK from the BC. It will take 45 - 60 minutes to do this, whereas the bus trip can be done in 15 minutes. We often return from the MK to the YC via the monorail and walking through Epcot, but we do this only when we are not in a real rush to get anywhere.

Cape May Cafe at the BC has a great character breakfast and dinner. It should make up for not being close to Chef Mickey's! :goodvibes

I love Epcot & BC. SAB is great too. But then again CR is good too. Nah. BC is the one.

We have had the same dilemma and split our stay b/c of it. I would say if most time will be spent at MK, then CR. Otherwise BC/YC -- we do love that pool and the non-crowded exit from Epcot at night.

I prefer the BC to the CR. Walking from the BC through Epcot to get to the monorail will take you at least 30 minutes. I'd take the BC bus to the MK and ride that monorail.

Freiden8,

Didn't you ask about CR or 2 mods? It looks like you're really leaning towards CR. With two toddlers, I would go with CR.

While SAB is beyond wonderful, it can get crowded and overwhelming for little ones. My 9 year old got upset last year and gave up after about 30 minutes three different times because, "It's too crowded to move!"

And, like a previous poster said, it's a looooooong way to walk through Epcot to catch a monorail to MK.

oh, this is a hard one: the convenience of MK (walk or monorail from CR) or the convenience of walking to EP (from BC)

hey - i say, when the kids are old enough to pay for the trip, let them decide! - for now, stay at the BC! (they'll love the SAB pool!)

(i'm kidding! i'm kidding!!!!) :goodvibes

Don't forget that BC is also a boat ride (or long walking path) away from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We run in to that same dilemma. There is no easy answer. What we end up doing is rotating trips (this one at BC, next one at CR, etc.). If I absolutely had to choose one resort, then it would be BC. I say this because our toddlers LOVE the pool. They sit and play in the sandy section for hours. We also do the character breakfast at Cape May quite often. But nothing can compare to being able to walk right in to Epcot each night. That is truly the deal-breaker for us. The kids go to various kidcot stations each night while DH and I enjoy some snacks or drinks from the relevant countries. It makes for such an easy, relaxing trip.

As far as the walk-though Epcot to get to the monorail.....we've done this several times. We always plan to do some rides in Epcot first and then just hop on the monorail to Epcot afterward. If we are in a hurry, then we just take the bus. On the way back to BC, we try to time it when our twins want to nap in the jogger, so we take the monorail back from MK to Epcot and walk through Epcot to BC as the twins nap in the jogger. It gives the kids a chance to rest and we adults can take our time, buy snacks, whatever we want. It works for us! But....as I said.....don't do this route unless you have extra time to spare.

Personally I would go with the Contemporary. Not just because it's my favorite Resort, it's because with 2 toddlers it's a much more convenient Resort and you will like having the Resort Monorail anytime you would want to use it. Besides that you also have the walkway to and from the Magic Kingdom and they are 1st stop on the Disney Transport buses when being picked up and dropped off. Finally I also think the Contemporary has a lot more atmosphere then the Beach Club.
