Will be arriving at CR tomorrow for first time for 8 nights. I'm nervous I just don't think I'll like it. Doesn't look Disney to me. DH wanted to stay there because of the monorail & could walk to MK with DD2 in stroller. I just hope I am not disappointed & wish we stayed in a cabin at FW. Anyone been there before is there much drawer space just saw some photos doesn't look like much at all compaired to AS resorts.

Don't worry! I'll be the exciting atmosphere of the Contemporary will get you into the Disney mood. Plus, walking to the MK will be wonderful, especially in the evenings. :)

I have not stayed there, but I beleive they are one of the largest rooms on property. We have visited many times for the arcade, shopping and dining options. It was one of our choices for next July, but chose Poly concierge. I would not have had a problem staying there. There are many CR fans..hope they respond.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the CR! Remember, it is "Walt's dream" for Disney. He was a key player in it's design. The rooms are about the largest on site. You will have a large closet, plus lots of drawers. The bathrooms are great, they are so large.

This was the first place we stayed with our then 2.5 yo. It really is a nice place to stay with a toddler.

Are you staying in the wings or the tower? Our first room was in the north wing, 2nd floor, about 1/2 way down. I watched the fireworks from our window everynight after I put dd to sleep.

We are sure looking forward to our next trip in Sept.

You'll have a great time. We stayed in the North Garden Wing on June 25 - June 28 and had a marvelous time: clean rooms, polite CM's, superb weather, excellent restaurants.

We also love the CR. It does have a different theme from other hotels at Disney but it sticks to that theme. We think that it is a lot of fun. We like the wing rooms first floor so we can walk out to the lake and have ducks out our back door in the mornings. Chef Mickey's is awsome. The location is wonderful too. I have always gotten that "Disney feeling" everytime I walk in the front doors of the CR.

Another family who loves CR here! We were there 5/31 to 6/6 and we're going back in December :Pinkbounc

Have a wonderful time!

I wasn't gung ho on the CR either but my husband wanted to stay there (called it the WDW classic) so we split our stay this past April between the Poly and CR. Guess what? I liked the CR better than the Poly. We had a 10th floor Tower Room facing MK.

Also, all restaurants and amenities are close- you won't have to walk far to anything, well maybe the pool depending on where you stay. We had a long walk at the Poly to the pool and restaurants and it was hot that week!

Enjoy your stay!

We spent 2 nights in a tower room on the 9th floor with a MK view. I didn't love the room decor but the king bed was comfy, the view spectacular and there was a good amount of storage space (big enough for my wedding dress and all the stuff I had with me).

Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll like it once there. We have a Wing room requsted North wing, first floor water view. 5 of us going. Have PS for Chef Mickey tomorrow night.

Hey Toesmom1,

Since you already have a wing room booked i'm just adding another suggestion. We prefer the wing rooms over the tower rooms. It is so peaceful in the wings. The water view that you are talking about is actually anything on the opposite side of the resort from the MK. This could include looking at the grounds and not much if any view of the water. Do not get scared though. We like all of the those views. They are very nice. If you specificaly want a water view you need to ask for a room on the end of the wing overlooking the water when you get there. This is a special request. They may not have one available but it is worth a try. You will have a longer walk to your room if you are at the end of the wing. However, I think it is very much worth it. It is so peaceful to sit on your patio at night and watch the boats and the electrical water pageant.

I hope you have a wonderful trip and think of us all while you are there. We would love to be there as well.

The CR is very cool. Being on the monorail is awesome and walking to MK is great- esp when it is crowded getting on the monorail. Lots of great shopping and food options. The CR rooms are big and airy and spacious. It is great!
Have a blast!
