We are considering a "lazy" trip for next summer. We'll do the resort pool in the AM, and a park in the PM. We've never stayed at the CR, and the pool looks huge, but I just wondered how crowded it feels on a mid-June day? I read that BLT's pool feels like "people soup" and the Poly pool felt a bit crowded on our trip in Jan. How does CR compare??

We went in Mid August which seems to have similar crowd levels. We never found the CR pool crowded. It is not the most exciting pool but we could get in, swim around and not run into people. The "quiet" pool is right there too and that was completely empty every time we were there.

I haven't stay there is June, so I can't comment on that. The CR pool is really large, it will hold a lot of people. There is a lot of deck space, too, for chairs. What's so nice, if you've the mugs, you can get them refilled at the pool bar which is close to the pool. Enjoy! We love the CR!:)

We also haven't been in June, but we went in August and there was plenty of space in the CR pool. As others have noted, it's not the most exciting pool and maybe that helps keep the crowds down. What's funny- my kids preferred the CR pool to WL's and the Poly's. Oh well- in any event, it was definitely not people soup in there when we went mid August. I will saw that the pool crowds increased later in the day and there were actually a number of people in there when we came back to CR at night.

I have stayed there twice in July and we did not find the pools to be too crowded when we took our afternoon break. The quiet pool had noone in it. I prefer CR to Poly. The Poly pool atmosphere is great, but the pool is too small and crowded for me to get in. I also love having a hot tub at the CR.

I would not describe the CR pool as "huge" but it is pretty large. We were there last year, the first part of June, and I didn't find it too crowded. As some others have mentioned, the quiet pool was nearly empty. There are also loungers set up on the sandy/beachy area. Those loungers were always available also. You could lounge out there and take dips in the pool when you need to cool off. :thumbsup2

We LOVE everything about CR!!

Thanks for all the responses! From your replies and all the other info I've read, it sounds like the CR is perfect for the way we want to tour the parks, and I can't wait to try it out.

Now we just have to wait a year! Oh well, it gives me something lovely to think about! Anyone else plan out their trips as they are drifting off to sleep at night??

We love the CR! If you check out our signature you'll see we have quite a number of stays there. With little ones it's great for the proximity to the MK. there is always hustle and bustle in the Concourse. Buses are pretty frequent to the other parks and you have the monorail for other dining options. As others mentioned, there are a lot of lounges available. I hope you'll be happy there!

When I stayed at the Contemporary I found that their pool area was big enough and it had a lot of pool chairs. Plus I never saw it get crowded compared to the time I stayed at the Polynesian and went to their Volcano pool.
