CR -pool and room view questions...

I'e seen pictures of the CR's pool area and there seems to be no shade at all!Are there times of the day that the buliding shades the pool?

also, if you book a garden wing, so some have Mk views? would these been standard or garden views?
are there balconys?

What is the chance of getting an upgrade if you check in early (not necesaarily the tower)?

Pool: There are some trees around the pool area BUT the pool area does NOT get a lot of shade. chairs near the south garden side get the most shade, as do the chairs nearest the building (that 's where most trees are located). The building does not shade pool till very very late.

MK view: From the gardens you would need North garden probably 3rd floor. Which of course is also parking lot, and the most you might see is top of fireworks and maybe space mt's partial building? But I'm not positive. I think park view is very limited lots of trees / shrubs. Garden rooms on the ground floor have a patio BUT the 2 and 3 rd floors do NOT have balcony's unless you have the big suite on the end. (price $700's) The top 2 floors have the "patio doors" and they might open a few inches for "air"..

Upgrades? Cr is a very popular resort and if your going in the summer, I know is sold out in july and early august. But if your trip is later? you never know? I personally have stayed there probably over 12 -15 trips and have NEVER been upgraded (to tower) but when we had garden rooms we usually got a very nice view. Best bet: if you want tower buy tower. That has been out strategy and problem is once you stay in the tower, you ONLY want the tower.

We got back from a three day stay two weeks ago (June 25 - 28). We stayed at the North Garden Wing, room 8112, facing Bay Lake. We couldn't have asked for a better room. Bay Lake was no more than a few f eet away from our first floor patio. It was great drinkign coffee or smoking a cigar early in th emorning, watching the boats. We paid for a "garden view," which guarantees you a view of some body of water, whether it's the pool, canal, or lake.

Be advised that the CR pool area is not known for having lots of shade, even though it can certainly accomodate more chairs. We spent most of our vacation at the pool. If you arrived before 11:30 you basically had your pick of seats. We usually sat by the Bay Lake pool, which has four shaded tables, one at each end. If you don't get a shaded table or lounge chairs, you're going to fry until someone leaves.
