We are trying the decide between the Contemporary and the Boardwalk because need two qeen beds and a day bed. The question is where would I park the ECV at either? I have looked at the room diagram for each and am not seeing where the ECV would fit.

When I have stayed at both resorts I have seen ECV's parked in the hallways outside the rooms of the guest who used it, so that's what you would have to do.

Now as for which one you should pick I would go with the Boardwalk because in my opinion they have the best theme/atmosphere among any WDW Resort, plus you also have walkways/Boat transportion that goes to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

However if you picked the Contemporary that would also be a great choice since their rooms are among the biggest of the Deluxe Resorts, along with the Resort Monorail access and walkway to the Magic Kingdom.

The Contemporary Resort is an older resort than the BWInn, so I'm gonna bet the rooms are a bit larger at CR. I know we stayed at the CR in a Garden Wing room a few years ago and the room was really nice and big for the three of us. Parking an ECV in the room wouldn't be a problem.

I've only stayed in the BWVillas, so I couldn't tell you about the BWInn.

Thanks for the information. I would have thought putting the ECV in the hallway was hazard for fire exiting rules. I did think about asking bell services to keep it plugged in with them overnight since I could use my rollator to get back and forth between them and a room.

I am leaning towards the Boardwalk with access to 2 parks without using bus but the Contemporary has path to Magic Kingdom and the monorail and you can transfer to Epcot monorail.

I was going to suggest a Garden Wing room at the CR. From what I can remember about our CR tower room, you would be able to park the ECV between the bed and the desk area, in front of the dresser. But that could be a problem if you need to get up in the middle of the night. Are you bring your own or renting one? How big do you think it would be?

I don't know about the BW rooms so I couldn't compare. The only time I rented an ECV was at OKW, so we had plenty of room to park it there.

I would call guest services and talk to them about it. I wouldn't think it would be okay to park an ECV in hallway for fire reasons. They have to have ways for it to work in either situation, but I know that Disney would be glad to help you if you called.
