We just returned from 8 days and had a variety of experiences. Our A/c had a problem that eventually was remedied. The new room was dirty to be nice and that was remedied. The new new room was great and we finished our time in it. The boats were pretty good. We did the fireworks cruise and it was wonderful as was the lack of crowds in the park. Bus service was weak, but we survived. The guest laundry was the worst, I would never do laundry here again. Any questions?

Did you have any trouble being changed to a new room? What was the original room? What was the problem with the laundry? We'll be there in a few days. beth

The original room was 4719 - great room - great view - the a/c made lots of noise - we could not sleep - the next rrom was 4522 -I think - we were there one hour - room needs lots of work. We had a little trouble getting moved the first time - the front desk wanted to just have ac repaired and then we would stay there - we did not one more night of no sleep so requested to talk to manager - instead he moved us to another room - that would be ready in the afternoon - this was at 7 in the morning. We were told the rooms are 30 years old what did we expect. The 2nd room was not ready for guest to stay. It was not clean - the safe had no key and the sliding glass door was not able to close or lock - the handle was coming off. I called for a manager - got voice mail - left a message. A little later a housekeeping manager came by - showed the problems to him - the sheer in the window was disgusting and the table still had food and other cleaning issues. He said it could be cleaned and a key for safe found and the door repaired in the afternoon - it was 12:30 at this point. Frustration and exhaustion took over and I asked to be moved again as opposed to hoping this room would work out. The manager Micheal came up and moved us -my husband was at a meeting in Orlando - so the 2 boys and I had moved alone the first time - he helped on the next move. This move put us on the 12th floor - concierge - it was nice.

The laundry is on the 2nd floor of the wings - in the middle - no windows very little a/c - HOT. The washers are ok - the dryers take many rounds to dry. I split them up and ran many cycles - the dryers just take forever. The TV is forced to CNN and there is nothing to do - bring a good book. I was not comfortable leaving clothes there - at least at the CBR it was by a pool and easier to get clothes done.

Once the room was final the stay was great.

Have fun!

Who told you the rooms are 30 yrs old what do you expect? You aren't paying what they cost 30 yr ago-you are payibg for deluxe resort. I am nervous about this. We had a filthy room a few years ago and they wouldn't do anything---couldn't get to speak to a manager. At least you ended up on 12, but what a hassle.

We were told this 3 different times - by the guy at the front desk, the maintenance manager, and the front desk manager. I had asked if this is what we should expect at this resort as we were considering moving to the CBR as it has always been without any problems, that is when they moved us to 12th floor.
