CR is HERE and REAL per the WDW Raido Show

AKV, SSR and CRV - will all appeal to different types.

AKV - love animals and Africia

SSR - love DD and PI - walking back after partying. 20's and 30's

CRV - MK lovers, people with litte kids (of course these would sell pretty quick once the kids were older). just image the ability to walk over to your resort - when the lines for the ferry, monrail and buses are over an hour long....

definitely think that demand will remain for all 3 - because they all appeal to different types of people.

some people will hate CRV - they like Epcot or one of the other theme parks better than the MK, want to golf or do other things that CRV doesn't offer easily, have no wish for a monrail DVC resort.

don't under estimate the appeal of the other DVC resorts.

when BWV was selling, was surprised at the amount of people who choose to buy at OKW.

every one taste is different. DVC knows this and build different resorts at different places.

Also IMHO, I do believe it will sell out faster than any DVC resort to date. :)

Which is exactly why they will wait until SSR is sold out. I also believe that if CRV proves to be incredibly popular (and I do believe it will be IMHO), then I foresee DVC extending this to the YC, POLY and GF.

I know that they said ONLY ONE monorail DVC, but if Disney can make money due to the popularity of DVC on the monorail, why wouldn't they? If you think about it, the YC, Poly and GF will be the only 3 deluxes without DVC when all is said and done.

I believe that, aside from those of us who have been waiting & waiting for this resort, it will appeal to impulse buyers as well. I've got to believe that they sell a fair number of points to those not "in the know". To visitors, who while seeing their kids having the times of their lives, take the tour and buy immediately. I can only guess that this number will increase when walking to the magic, and a castle view are thrown into the mix. To people who don't yet fully appreciate everything that the entire WDW resort offers, the CR might be VERY attractive.
So, I too, think it will sell out in record time.

the BCV was the most popular and sold out the quickest. they could have easily sold twice the villas.

that say, you haven't seem one for the YC. It would sell out just as quick - but there is not one there either.

same for the Polyn. I

now there might be hope for a DVC GF - depends upon the Westin (I think that is the company) - if they put up a real 5 star hotel. I would think GF would be hurt. So either Disney needs to up the GF - get better employees who are paid more money, as well as redo the rooms. Or DVC might get some of it. just depends upon the quality of hotel that Westin puts there.

It might actually be the first 5 star in Orlando area since the Hyatt lost its 5 star rating - in the 90's.

AMEN! (Anyone stayed at "Eagle Pines" yet?)

Personally I consider this one a VERY reliable rumor. Lou is pretty good about fact checking etc unlike the "Jim Hill I made up something to write about" site for example.

To me this has NO appeal, but I think it will happen.

I think it will happen too and I think these rumors have helped make the process of trying to convince my wife to add on easier. If Lou said it she reasons, it must be coming (Which is big for me :goodvibes :goodvibes )

I do not post here and know that I am not a credible source of info, but just to add to the "CRV Rumor", last fall, DH and I were at SSR and wanted to tour the AKV rooms, we walked into the building without a guide and could not get into any of the model rooms. At the end of the hall, we opened the door and entered another hallway, it looked to us, like a hallway that would be at the Contemporary, ultra mod appearing. We then went to the DVC office and asked to tour the model rooms, one of the clerks at the front desk walked with us and showed us the AKV model rooms and we asked her about the other hallway and of course her response was of puzzlement, and stated she knew nothing. Anyways, we kept thinking next time we're there, we will check out that door at the end of the hall, but haven't made it yet. Anyone else?
