Hello all! Please tell me about your view when staying at the Contemporary in the Garden Wing, STANDARD VIEW. Is there any view OTHER than the parking lot? Any view photos you are able to share would be much appreciated!! :goodvibes

We actually liked the standard view. Yes, you see the parking lot, but we also saw the monorail track heading into the CR main building. The kids loved seeing which monorail color would come next. We also saw most of the lagoon where the boats travel from WL and Ft. Wilderness. Overall, it's obviously not the MK view, but we didn't fee like it was just a bunch of cars and that's it. Can't find my pictures right now of the CR. It's been a couple of years. If I find one, I will post it for you.

Thanks! If you come across one, I would love to see it!:thumbsup2

Primarily parking lot and monorail view. Doesn't sound exciting, but, it's not bad. I actually consider these rooms to be the best 'value' at WDW. The last few times I tried to book them, I found them very difficult to get.

Good to hear, we booked one already for our free dining bounceback in 2013. My DD thought it would be really cool to walk in to MK instead of taking the bus. My DH has been waffling about maybe switching to the Poly or to YC but I think it would be cool to walk in and out of MK. I've avoided seeing the fireworks lately because I can't stand the thought of those huge bus lines.

We were at the end of the building and our view was just of a side of the building. It was pretty blah.

We had a garden view which was in the last building facing the lake. Yeah it was a nice view but a long walk. The standard view was closer. We wish we would of had one of those.

We had a Standard View room and we loved it! Yes you're looking at the parking lot, but the monorail went straight past the window. We could also see and hear the EWP. Best of all ,though, we could see the top of the Castle from our room. We're not sure if we'll ever go to the expense of booking another room catagory as we loved our view! In fact we've already booked for next year:goodvibes Unfortunately I've no photos as we took all pics with my DH's I Phone, which promptly died the next day:sad2:.

That sounds fabulous! I would love to be able to see the EWP! I am thinking I will request near the tower, ground floor, and be happy with the location. :)
