We will be spending 4 nights at CR in the garden wing. What room location should I request? I think the North building would be a closer walk to MK and I worry about the smoking rooms in the South building. I have a DD who is very allergic to smoke. Has anyone had any negative or positive experiences near the smoking rooms? Also, is there an elevator that goes to the upper floors of the garden buildings or is it stairs? Thanks.

Jen

There are elevators located in the garden wing rooms, so even if you are on an upper floor you will have elevator access.

As for the building location, both are nice--we liked the North building because it was a shorter walk to the Magic Kingdom.

If you are concerned about smoking just make sure you note the non-smoking request on the room, and be sure to request it again at check in. Disney will not guarantee a non-smoking room unless it is for medical reasons.

In DD's case non-smoking room is for medical reasons. She has severe asthma and smoking is one of her worst triggers. That's why I would prefer to stay as far away from smoking rooms as possible. I love WDW in general because the parks are non-smoking for the most part with designated smoking areas. I wonder if I should request a note from her Dr. to take with us?

When you call for your reservation tell them it is a medical necessity for the non smoking i need that also and the request was filled when were down in early May.
If you have any specfic questions and you want to PM me i would be glad to answer them.
