I have two rooms on hold for Hallowe'en night ( its my DD's 7th birthday and we're doing MNSSHP :Pinkbounc ) at a good AP rate. We have PSs for a birthday breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and a 5pm dinner at Chef Mickey's.

What's the difference between Garden Std View and Garden View please ??

Am I mad to pay almost $200 per night just for the convenience of not having to traipse all the way back out to SR27 to the villa we're staying in?

No you are not mad - sounds like you are willing to pay up to be within walking distance of the MK on a special night for the family

Garden Standard View can be of the parking lot I believe while Garden View is of the lawn side of the garden wings and also oblong views of lake/pool complex

Thanks

We had a garden view for our stay. We were in the North wing, about 1/2 way down MK side. We had a wonderful view of the fireworks from our window.

I believe the standard rooms are on the front end, thought the view is not quiet as "pretty" you're closer to the main building and the bus stop (for the north wing). You can still see MK from those windows (I believe).

We loved the CR.

We had a garden/lake view as well, north garden wing. We were in room 7232 (anywhere close to your room # Kimberle??) and we could see the fireworks from our room. I am hoping to get a room with a similar view this next time, and see the MNSSH fireworks from our room the night of the 3rd (we check in this night and aren't staying out late the first night- gonna try and adjust to East Coast time!!). Staying in N Garden Wing is closest to the path to the MK and pretty close to where the busses get you too.
