CR garden standard view

Can someone please tell me what my view will be in a CR garden wing standard view room. I've heard really great things about the views from other rooms at the resort, but the standard rooms are never mentioned. I can only assume that the views aren't anything special. I would love to stay in a MK view room, but I'm already topping out my budget upgrading to a deluxe.

CR is a great resort! Thje ability to walk to MK is a great selling point. The views from the Garden Wing are not too bad. They are of the pools and Bay Lake for the most part.

The views from a STANDARD GW room at the CR are of the parking lot which is to the left of the Tower and in front of the monorail tracks.

If you can upgrade just a bit, I would recommend a GARDEN VIEW GW room which can be one of three views: The canal (with trees in front) that runs from Bay Lake to Seven Seas Lagoon; the pool area or Bay Lake. The rooms facing Bay Lake are fantastic.

All of the rooms at the CR, other than suites, the Tower Club rooms on the 14th floor and the Deluxe rooms in GW, look exactly the same inside. If you won't be in your room much, I wouldn't worry too much about the view. The second and third floor GW rooms do not have balconies. If you want a patio, request a ground floor room.

When we stayed at CR we had garden wing room, with garden view (we payed extra to not see parking lot, but I don't remember it being a lot more than standard). We had a patio since we were on the ground floor and had a view of the pool and could also see bay lake. It was a a nice view!

For their 2011 room rates their Standard Garden View rooms are now listed like this, Garden Wing - Standard (Parking Lot) View. So if you look at your confirmation those words should be listed on there.

If you have little kids they'll probably love the view of the monorail going by with the 'standard view.' The convenience of walking to the MK can't be beat and is worth the upgrade from a moderate.

The pools and beaches are very close to the south wing.

PLUS, the tower is a very short walk away.

I would agree with this. I've enjoyed watching the monorails from the standard view rooms, although the trees have grown and screen the view of the parking lot and the monorails more than they used to. There are a few standard view rooms that are not facing the parking lot though - mostly in the "t" sections of the wing, where the room faces the wall of the other building section.

I will have to say that probably half the time I've booked standard I've ended up with a sort of a garden view room, so if the cash is an issue, I wouldn't hesitate to stick with the standard view. Those rooms go pretty fast, because they are the best value on the monorail.
