We had dinner at CA Grille for our final night this trip and I was able to get some photos of the ongoing construction. (You can click on any photo for a larger view.)
As you approach the CR walking from MK, it's obvious some rehab is taking place on the 4th floor monorail access opening.

From the 4th floor deck, there is a good view of the construction site. The huge cranes being used and much taller than the CR itself - lending credence to the reported height of the addition being built.

Also obvious are the piling support foundations for the walkway that will connect the new structure with the existing Tower at the level of the 4th floor.

On the 4th floor observation deck there are contruction survey markings indicating the location of the walkway and bridge. The markings are noted as "Centerline - Hallway to Hotel" and "Centerline - Bridge".

From the 14th floor observation deck - accessible via the CA Grille - we get a nice overview of the entire project. The circular "C" shape is pretty obvious as is the intended path for the walkway access between the two structures.

The construction of the second floor appears to be taking shape and the opposite side of the "C" continues to grow.

The piling foundation work for the walkway now extends from the new construction all the way to the concrete patio at the base of the CR. You can see the 4th floor deck in these photos.

Regardless what type of accommodations are being built, there will be some great views from the structure. Of course, MK is a favorite, but the views of Bay Lake and even the view towards Epcot, MGM and AK are also spectacular.

We had another wonderful meal at the CA Grille. When we arrived there was a window table available in the lounge, so we decided to have our dinner right there. The filet was delicious and we also had one of our favorite servers - Karl. The view from our table was spectacular - especially as the sun began to set. All of these remaining photos were taken right from our table.

Enjoy!
