CR const pics...

Morning ALL....

Thought you might like to see the progress of construction @ the CR as of last week....

Seems to be as rumors had it, a C with attached walkway to the orig CR on the 4th floor. You can see where the dirt pile is, large cement colums/rebar coming over to the CR.

Here's a lousy night pic of columns.

Also..the 4th floor observation deck is partially a const storage facility..walled up, and of course, on the monorail side closest to the castle. So...no good night fireworks viewing from here.

so those columns are going all the to the main building? definately what looks to be a walkway?

We also were there last week and DH went to check it out, and he said you could see where the walkway would be coming over to the tower. Now if they'd just announce it already!!

Cool pix! We have some great sleuths here, and the construction updates are great. I agree that everything seems to be pointing to exactly the "C" shaped building that we've seen renderings for.

Looking at Bay Lake gets me homesick!

I was at WDW last week too and took some pics, but they are the same as what the OT has posted. I visited Animal Kingdom Lodge while I was there and was speaking the DVC person in the lobby, her name was Carol. She asked if I was excited about the announcement of the DVC in Hawaii. I said yes, but not as excited as I will be when they announce DVC at Contemporary. She gave me this look like "Oh you poor thing, there's not going to be a DVC at Contemporary". Then she made a comment that there's not going to be a DVC at Contemporary. She kind of took the wind out of my sails. But you know what, I'm not going give up on the dream until there's an official announcement regarding the construction.

No surprise. She can't sell something that isn't announced yet and Hawaii is so they will focus on what they have to sell rather than what they don't. She may technically be correct about there not going to be a CRV because of that fact nothing has been announced. Having at least part of the resort be DVC only makes sense so I agree about not giving up. Time will tell.

how long have they been working on it? seems like i've seen pictures for months now and i'd have thought they'd be further along by now.

generally is a slow process with footers, etc.; now that they're building upwards things should progress quicker
