We are planning a trip in late october. My mother is coming so we need a seperate sleeping space for her. We will be taking a 9 month old, so part of me wants the monorail, part of me wants a home-away-from-home suite.I spoke with Disney yesterday and here are my availabilities:

CR- Junior Suite (Has anyone stayed in these, is there a seperation between bedroom and sitting area?) Are they Nice?

BWV - 1 Bedroom Villa, My top choice because I have stayed at the BWI and loved it. However, my mother has only stayed at Monorail hotels and doesn't want to leave the monorail line.

BCV - I have heard mixed reviews about the beach club villas. Are they clean and well kept or are they similar to the CR garden wing rooms?

Sorry so long..just can't figure out which.

Hi there!

Sorry I can't comment on the Jr.suites at the CR as I've never stayed there but as far as the 1bdrm goes at BCV's, they are comparable to those at BWV's;) Same ammenities just different theming/colors. I've stayed at BCV's twice now with an upcoming stay this Sept./Oct. and always found the rooms in perfect shape. But that's my experience. If you get to your room (in any WDW resort) and find a problem, you can always contact the front desk and have them move you to another or have them come fix the problem right away if it's minor. Both BWV's and BCV's as you probably already know from staying at BWI, are in a great location - you may want to use that as a persuasion to convince your mom to try out a non-monorail hotel. You can Walk or take the boat to both Epcot and MGM and the BW is a nice attraction in itself in the evenings. You really cannot go wrong with either. I like BCV's for SAB though. With a baby I find having the kitchen is much easier too for making bottles, babyfood and such too. Anyway, hope this was of some help. Good luck deciding.

I would vote for BCV or BWV. I have stayed at both (DCV owner at BWV) and we love it there. The proximity to Epcot is fabulous. Being able to walk back to your room after Illuminations is just such a great benefit. Also, being able to just walk over to Epcot for dinner makes it so nice and extremely convenient. The walk to MGM is a bit far (15+ minutes), but pleasant. However, the boat that goes there is very nice.

Also, if you rent points from a DVC member, it would be much cheaper than renting directly from CRO.

However, I believe late October will be food and wine festival which is very popular with DVC members. I am not sure what the availability will look like for BCV or BWV at this late date. I had a very hard time booking a late reservation last year.

If CRO tells you they have availability, I would think that you could still rent points, but I am not certain of that.

Good luck to you. Any choice you make will be wonderful.

Thank you!
We have considered in the past renting points, but we really enjoy having the Dream Maker Silver and aren't sure if we would be able to add on the package.
Last year we went in the fall without it, just my husband and I, and after comparing our receipts from the spring, and it actually cost us LESS having the Dream Maker, than going a la' carte.

It is just so easy, to hand them your card, and not have to worry about the credit card bill a month later.

Thanks again!

I have never purchased a package, so I can not compare pricing. You may very well be right. And, coming home without a bill - that has to feel good!

However, I did check for you, and points per night for a BWV or BCV 1 bedroom is 24 points/night for week nights and 47 points/night for weekend nights - or 214 points for 7 nights - including weekends. The going rate for points is $10/point, so that would be $2140 for 7 nights, or an average of $305.71 per night - which I believe is cheaper than CRO prices for a 1 bedroom.

And, if you stayed on just weeknights - 5 weeknights at 24 points equals a total of 120 points or $1200 - which equates to $240/night.

Don't worry, I am not trying to rent you my points. :) I have used them all up for this year (Big trip planned for January) and even borrowed into next year's points. But, I started out renting points, and loved it so much that we bought in to DVC.

Good luck with your trip. If you are at WDW you will have a ball.

Often times this is true but sometimes you can also get a better deal thru CRO with a discount code if they have one.;)

Availablility will be extremely difficult renting points as I have already heard over on the DVC board that some weeks are completely booked solid for points ressies in Oct./Nov.

If CRO tells you they have availability, I would think that you could still rent points, but I am not certain of that.

Actually, CRO may very well have availability for cash ressies and Points ressies may be completely booked solid. So if DVC member services says they are booked solid you won't be able to rent the points unless someone is renting that has already made a ressie for the time you are looking for. These are two completely different inventories. CRO retains 4% of the available rooms for their own inventory and whenever DVC members trade out for non-DVC ressies (cruise line, non DVC resort like the Poly, etc.) that frees up more inventory for CRO to pay for those non-DVC ressies.

Just thought I'd give you the heads up;)

When your little one is old enough to have an opinion, you will probably be staying at one of the monorail resorts because of their proximity to the MK. I would opt for either the BWV or BCV now while your child is still young. I know as I am aging I have become a creature of habit;your mom is probably no different. However, once she sees how convenient it is to stay at an Epcot resort, she will quickly have a new favorite place to stay. When older members of my family went, they appreciated the short walk/boat ride to and from Epcot and the lovely boat ride to and from MGM.

I, too, agree that having a kitchen would make a huge difference with a little one. The one bedrooms also have a washer/dryer in the room so it is nice not to have to pack so much..

Good luck with your decision
