CP vs. H&V

Okay... so I booked H&V at DHS hoping they'll change out the characters, now, it's not looking like that will happen until after our trip is over. So I booked CP at MK too.

So, COMPLETELY discounting the characters... which has the better breakfast and why?

I voted CP. I think both the food and atmosphere are better. Even without the characters, I think CP is a nice destination. I think it's the characters that make H&V a good place to go.

BTW, do we know which characters are coming to H&V?

I've heard two possibilities... one more reasonable than the other.

Handy Manny or Phineas and Ferb. I'm guessing Handy Manny since it's generally the Playhouse Disney breakfast. bradk said that we shouldn't see any changes until the beginning of the fiscal year (Oct. 1)... which stinks because we leave Sept 30 but he knows his stuff so I trust what he has to say.

Thanks! Playhouse Disney makes sense, but my kids would be beyond thrilled if it was P and F. DS11 was Phineas for Halloween.

I would easily choose Crystal Palace breakfast over H&V. CP is our favorite breakfast - it has a very good buffet featuring puffed french toast and we enjoy the bright/open atmosphere of the restaurant.

Definitely Crystal Palace for both food and atmosphere. Hollywood & Vine is decent for what it is, but it's certainly not one of the premiere character meals on property.

I picked CP because of the puffed french toast. Oh my gosh was that stuff good! Also, I had read on here that it would be Manny at H&V and that he'd start appearing in mid May...did that change?

Reports are that nothing will change over until the beginning of the fiscal year (Oct 1). There are a couple of characters from TS3 swapping out the UP characters at DHS Animation Courtyard, but that's it.

As much as we like to watch Manny, my kids aren't crazy enough about him that I can justify spending the $$ at H&V... we will be paying OOP for all our meals our last day.

Saw him with my own eyes... He was fun!! The food at H & V was good too!
