This is our first year to attend the CP after countless times passing it by. I plan on purchasing the dinner package to guarantee seats. Does anyone have an idea of when they release the narrator list? I am really hoping to see NPH and am trying to get an idea of when to schedule that day. I know they release the packages for booking around end of June, so I'm assuming the narrator list comes out before that?

Some narrators are known when the packages are released, but some are TBA into December. We have seen NPH and he is awesome. Last year saw Whoopie Goldberg and she was also very good. We are skipping the dining package this year..too much waiting in line for seats..we had to line up 30 minutes or earlier to be gaurenteed a seat, and the line was back to Morroco both years...so not worth the 400 dollar meal for that !!

Last year packages went on sale June 26 and the narrator list came out before.Just keep in mind that the list is not finalized and narrators can and do change up until the last minute

We saw Jodi Benson last year and she was fabulous, really the entire thing was great. We plan on going again this year.

We had lunch ADRs, so our tickets were for the 5pm show. We went to the theater and were able to walk right in the package line about 4:30, and got seats in the front of the theater.

I think for the more "popular" narrators, such as NPH, there will be lines/crowds whether or not you have the package, just that your line will be shorter than the standby line.

This. One year I was excited to be able to get the CP package for a date that NPH was scheduled for, but then his dates got moved to two weeks earlier.

Yup, they can move around. OP dont book specifically for a narrator since you may very easily be disappointed. NPH tends to be early in the season though.

I'm hoping for NPH; fingers crossed. Don't plan on doing the dining package. And recommendations on how early need to show up for decent seats; trip is planned for Dec 3 to Dec 15.

I would not try to see NPH without the package; he is probably the most popular narrator. My guess is that you'd need to line up several hours in advance to have any chance of getting a seat for NPH without the package.

For NPH, expect to be standing way outside the theater. He is the one that books the fastest on CP packages. I go the same week every year and twice I was not even able to book a package for him. Stand-by was a mile long.

I think I have read to even have a chance to get in at all you have to be in line around 4 or so.

For NPH and some other very popular narrators the stand by line started at 11AM when WS opened. Not a lot of stand bys will get a seat so I would strongly recommend getting the CP dining package.
