Ok. I'm not a Pooh fan. At all. And as such, my kids have no idea who that cast of characters is. And I'm not a buffet gal. That said, when checking for a few breakfast openings the other day, I saw Crystal Palace had a opening for us at 8:05 on our MK day. We are on DDP so I'm not really concerned with the 'cost'.

Soooo, given all the above (in which I come across sounding lovely), would you still eat here for the benefit of that early morning almost empty main street experience?

Thank you!

I'm doing crystal palace for the first time just to try an early opening ADR (also for the first time). I've talked to many people (on boards & real life) who suggest doing this at least once. I've seen good comments about the experience and the food, even for only 2 adults. For me, I'm going soon after they have xmas dectorations up. So I'm excited to get great pics without the crowds. Also, the photopass photographers are out, so looking forward to the group pic infront of the castle (again without the crowds).

Btw, if you haven't already, I would book the ADR. Those early morning ones go fast and you can always cancel later if you change your mind. (just make sure you cancel at least 1 day before so you're not charged a cancelation fee)

I would, just because being in the park without all the people is great. We did CP before opening last November and loved it. But we are also big Pooh fans. Are your kids of the age that they could watch a couple Pooh movies to be familiar with them? Regardless of that, I love the little bit of time in front of the castle with so few people. We are going again in November and I'm trying to move our Cinderella Royal Table reservation up a little bit for this very reason.

Thanks. I did book it. I was avoiding buffets for the most part because my girls are little (4, 2 & 2) and logistically it turns into a bit of a nightmare. That said, my hubs is a big breakfast guy. Happy hubby belly = happy Daddy. And I'm going to need a Happy Daddy to help me keep 4, 2 & 2 happy too!

Be sure to get the puffed french toast and the veggie frittata. Im not a character kinda gal either, but I make an exception for the food here and the empty Main Street experience. Have fun!

I hate buffets for that reason, too. My kids are 9 (special needs), 7, 4 and 2. The 7 year old can carry her own plate and the 4 year old is getting to the point where he can, too, but it still involves my husband and I making multiple trips to the buffet line. I wasn't sure whether to make ADRs for CP, but I just went ahead and did it for the early entry. I hope it's worth it.

Does anyone know how long before your reservation they'll let you in the park?

typically 15 min before your reservation. Althought I've heard of some people getting in a little earlier than that.

For the buffets, the child food items tend to be all in the same location, so you may be able to double up when getting the kids food.
