I know, I know, this is major overthinking on my part I am sure. Right now we have ressies for 8:30 on Monday of our trip. However there is an 8:05 open as well. I opted for 8:30 originally to give us more time to get there basically.

So, what do you think? Would you change it to 8:05? Yes I realize this is only 25 minutes. LOL!

We really like the 8:05am ADR which I always make, and if I can't then I get it as close to that time as possible. We like to leisurely walk down Main Street taking in the sites and smells as we head towards CP, then afterwards we like to leisurely walk over to where we want to start out for the day, whether it is Tomorrowland or Frontierland, before the crowds start coming in. My first suggestion would go with the 8:05 ADR, but your 8:30 ADR should be fine too. Have a great trip :goodvibes

Thanks! My kids will be up and at em by 6:30. It's my parents I'm worried about - they aren't exactly morning folks. On a good note, we are driving as of right now so we could use the van that day if necessary. How long does it take to get to MK from Sports?

I would definitely take the 8:05. It will allow you to walk down a nearly empty Main St, get great pictures of the Castle, have a leisurely breakfast and still make Rope Drop and be ahead of the crowds. It really can make a difference.
You can not drive all the way to the Magic Kingdom. You would have to drive to the TTC and park, take a Tram to the front of the Parking Lot and then wait for and take either a Ferry or the Monorail to the Main Entrance of the MK. Only the Resort busses actually go to the Lagoon side and directly to the MK. It is actually quicker to take a bus to the MK
Good Luck

I knew we couldn't drive to MK but kind of forgot about the "hassles" of it. Thanks for the reminder!

I just changed it so if anyone wants an 8:30 ressie for May 7, there's one open. :)

I'd pick the 8:05am time slot so that you will be among the first families to be seated. This way you will be able to be done with your meal when the park opens and get a head start on rides and getting fast passes. You will also be able to have some time to get some nice photos on Main Street and in front of the castle before the park opens and the crowds start pouring in. We had an 8:10am Crystal Palace ADR during our trip and felt that being done with our meal and off to the attractions before park opening was priceless :thumbsup2

Definitely 8.05am as the chance of a photo on an almost deserted Main Street with the xastke in the background is nit to be missed. I have an even earlier ressie that I'm looking forward to for the very reason above, 7.55am.

If you are driving to MK at 7:30 in the morning you will park close enough to the TTC to not need the tram, just walk right up to the monorail. I still prefer to drive, as I HATE waiting for the bus, and unless you are the last stop for the bus you'll have to make more stops along the way. If you were driving to MK later in the day I'd say the bus is better, but if you are getting there first thing in the AM I prefer driving.

Is that a 7:55 a.m. at CP? Is that the earliest time they do?

Thanks.
