Cozumel Jeep Tour

Can you book this on your own, and would there be any cost savings? Would this be fun for a couple in their 40's and 50? Thanks.

Well i not sure of the booking it on your own , as we where lead off the ship as a group and met our guides at the dock and the jeeps where there also , i do not remember the co. name but i bet that if u did a little exploring you could find another Co. offering the same thing... i know that for sure as we saw other groups doing the same thing as us,,, i recommmend u just book it threw disney IT WAS A BLAST ...... If u like Being able to beat the Heck out of a Jeep for about 4 to 5 hours and like four wheeling threw the sand dirt and dust u will like this tour
we also got a little History lesson, and went to a VERY nice Beach
where we had BOTTLED WATER , and lunch made for us on the beach was a great tour............ on our MAY 11,2002 Inagural Cruise peter

I think you could book it on your own because we passed what appeared to be other companies/sites, but we just did it through Disney. It was awesome! There is a full report in my Western trip report on www.castawayclub.com but in brief, we loved the off-roading and had a blast swimming at the beach, where the waves were HUGE! The taco lunch was also delicious, and our guides were great. If you don't book through Disney and want to check it while while in Cozumel, I recommend looking for a Bureau of Tourism office. I don't know for sure if they have one, but we've found and used them in Nassau and in the Eastern ports to book horseback riding and in Alaska to book a sea plane.

Ok stupid question, here do you get to drive the jeep, or it is driven for you? If you do it with 2 people, can you take turns driving the jeep? Also, if you are a party of say 2, do you get your own jeep? Thanks.

u would think for the price u pay u would get yuor own jeep but we where informed at the pre trip briefing that there would be 4 people in a jeep and your would have to share the driving with other 2 people , was not very happy about that , because
u do not know how other people drive and if they ever had any experience with this sort of thing , IT is not a lot of fun IN MY OPINION . sitting in the back and eating dust .. and also with some one strange driving ...................... VERY WHITE KNUCKLE
almost Scary.................. this was my thoughs on the
trip dont get me wrong the Couple we met where very nice , but im sure they felt the same way as we hit every bump stick and tree possible with the jeep when i was driving some times
when u r beating the heck out of this truck , it can get away from u a little and people in front of u may slow down ........
if u could find a rental co. that would only let u have 2 people in the jeep i would book it ......................
would make for a better trip imho would remove the SCARe factor............ i think it was $85.00 per person plus tip for the 2 guides at the end
