Thanks, Michelle, for revising the list of western excursions. Now with the meeting times provided, our family can fine tune our plans for our July 6th cruise.

One interesting point I noticed. Several of the excursions have a meeting time of around 9:30 am. That's important because - according to the DCL website - the Magic isn't suppose to arrive in port at Cozumel until 11:00 am.

That might suggest that the Magic will be dropping off some of the passengers at the mainland before docking in Cozumel. Three of the "early" excursions all have to go to the mainland for the excursion.

Any thoughts?

That is an interesting observation, stormkrow. That certainly would seem to suggest a stop at the mainland before heading on to the island. But if they've built in this stop, they haven't announced it as part of the itinerary. My question... if they do indeed allow this stop, will they allow non-excursion-patrons to exit the ship for their self-guided trips to the mainland?

When we sailed on Carnival once, we had a stop in Cozumel. They were offering a shore excursion to Playa del Carmen and for those passengers the ship stopped in the middle of the water about 2 miles from shore, and a shuttle boat came alongside and the passengers transferred to the other boat for the excursion. The passengers were then ferried back to Cozumel to pick up the ship that evening.

This might be what does Disney will do also, though I am not sure. Just thought I would throw it in the ring.

You are right mmouse37. Almost every cruise ship that stops in Cozumel first lets passengers off at Playa del Carmen for the Ruins of Tulum tour. The ships shop in the bay and the excursion folks are ferried to the mainland., then the ship continues on to Cozumel. Those on the excursion will be ferried back over to Cozumel to meet the ship . The Ruins tour is usually about 6-7 hours.

Hi
Does anyone know if only those going on the Tulum Ruins excursion are allowed off the ship? Suppose you wanted to just go do things on your own?
