We are heading to Cozumel and Grand Cayman on one of the Wonder NOLA sailings next year. There is no stop in CC.

Do I need to stay up late and log in at 12:01 a.m. on my PIF to book anything for those ports?

I am in the habit of doing this because every DCL cruise I’ve taken so far has had a stop in CC, and I’m always trying to secure a cabaña.

But for this next cruise, are there any excursions at either port that are in high demand and sell out right away?

Thanks.

We are doing a WC on the Fantasy in Jan, so going to the same ports. We are gold, when I did our excursions last month everything was still available. I just looked at the excursions again yesterday and this morning and everything is still available. It's less than 75 days until my cruise, so first timers have already done their picking. We did the same cruise 2 yrs ago as silver level and everything was still available back then when I checked in. It seems like the stingrays excursion at GC is popular, but also seems like many on here book it on their own. You're on a smaller ship, so less people to compete with. I only book at midnight if there's something I really want to do. Btw, my cruise still has Palo brunch available which I was surprised to see.

Thanks. We are looking at the Rum Point excursion for GC, and ... we're still up in the air on Cozumel. Three kids - 10, 14, 18 - trying to decide what would satisfy all of them.

Would prefer to stay on the island vs. ferrying to the mainland. Issue is that the Cozumel port day is on a Sunday, and it seems that most places there are closed on Sunday. It would be weird if DCL booked a port day when all of the main attractions were closed, so I don't know if those places stay open just for the cruise ship crowds or what.

Doing the same ports in Jan, but on Independence of the Seas.

If DCL has an excursion listed, then chances are they've made arrangements with the tour operator with regards to staying open.

I'm going to be at Cozumel on a Sunday in Jan as well, and I think that only Paradise Beach is open, which should be interesting. Fortunately there is only the Wonder in port along with my cruise (Indy), so crowds might not be too bad.

I'll post something on CC and see if they have any other suggestions for a Sunday.

GC, we're doing stingrays, and there are enough 3rd party operators that I don't think that booking through the cruise line makes much sense. The main issue, as always, is to ensure your operator will get you back in a timely manner. A little more research, and a little more paranoia vs booking through the cruise line, but I think it'll be worth it for me.

For me, staying up late is part of the fun; even if there's nothing pressing to book. Kind of like packing and whatnot. Ramps up the excitement

It looks like someone asked the same question just this past Saturday. Here's one of the answers:

paradise Beach, or most beach “bars”, or a day pass to hotel resort.

So looks like it's a bit of a limited selection.

I do.
Not for excursions (although if there's something appealing we'll book it) or cabanas but for the tastings.
They've gotten so popular ppl snag them on the same day. I don't why they've become so popular though, they've gone downhill in quality when ppl started signing up for them en masse.
It's a long cruise (WBPC 3/2020 - maybe we're on the same cruise?) so tastings are kind of important to fill up days with activities.
