Cox Cable and the Sinclair network?

I tuned in tonight to watch the POW story, which was to air parts of Stolen Honor. It was to be on Channel 40, WGGB in Springfield, Mass. What came on at 8 pm was 8 Simple Rules. Thinking that Sinclair had changed their mind, I called the station to see what the problem was. The answer I got was; we are broadcasting that program. Do you have Cox Cable? I said that I did and the woman told me that Cox was airing the feed from another ABC affiliate that was not airing the broadcast. I called Cox who denied that they weren't airing Channel 40 but she would look into it and call me back. 29 minutes into the programming, they then began airing the program. By then, excerpts of Stolen Honor had been aired and the portion discussing GWB's service record was highlighted. I find it hard to believe that this was a "mistake", as Cox is representing it. I watched the Channel 40 News prior to 8 pm. Has anyone had a similar experience in their area?
