Will someone PLEASE tell the woman in the next office to shut the heck up?????

omg, she has been on the phone since 7:30am, talking loudly about a hundred completely random thoughts...over and over again as she has to call apparently everyone in her rolodex and repeat it all.

I don't care if she wants to spend all her time on the phone...but must we ALL spend it with her????

Aarrgghh---luckily, my co-worker that does that has today off.

He'll tell a story to us when he comes in. Then, as each of our 80 some instructors wanders in during the course of the day, he'll repeat it to them. He'll repeat it to everyone that calls him on the phone. He tells the copier repairman and the guy who delivers boxes.

And this happens EVERY day. It makes me want to tear my hair out.

If it were me I'd probably say something like, "Someone forgot to take their medication today" a little loudly :rolleyes1

Sorry about the background noise...I have a co-worker I wish I could hit a mute button on

All right, I'll do it for you. Send me her phone number and I'll give her a call. :rotfl:

LOL! NO! Not another phone call!! She'd love it.

She's calmed down somewhat now...must have gone through all her contacts.

HA! Of course, that would be my luck! I'd call to tell her to knock it off and get stuck on the phone listening to her rant for hours. :lmao:

Be happy your co-workers come to work. I work for a small manufacturing company. I'm on the office, everyone else is in production. We have 10 employees. One day I got here and there were only 2 other people here. Seven people on on Monday, six out yesterday. Today we are only down 3. Its crazy. And most of them dont call in or anything. They just dont show up. And the boss does NOTHING about it. He wont write them up, fire them, deny them vacation pay, etc. Just lets it happens and then wonders why we arent making any money.

I'm bumping this up because it's Friday and she has not shut up all week. Currently, she is giving marriage advice to some unknown person on the phone...

Oh, wait...she's done giving the advice, has hung up and is now relaying the unknown person's marriage trouble to the person in the office next to her...

We need to get this woman and my co-worker together. We could work next to each other and they could chat each other's ears off at another location.

I seriously have the heebie jeebies because he keeps talking about his wife's mammogram. Please do not discuss this with me. He keeps telling me how painful they are. Have you HAD one, fella? I am so creeped out right about now. :teeth:

I just saw this thread and thought "WOW, is Mal having another problem co-worker" only to find it is the SAME one!! You poor thing. I'm lucky that most of my cubicle mates are well-behaved. Heck, one of them even brought in some homemade peach cobbler today that *HE* made.

The girl that sits by had an endoscopy last week. I have heard the story 8,327 times so far. She tells everyone that walks by or calls. I will be so glad when today is over!

I have a phone lover in my office, too, and we share phones (our setup is like in "The Office" - no cubicles, just desks). Luckily for me, she is out studying for the Bar Exam (she has taken 7 or 8 bar exams and has yet to pass - GIVE IT UP!), and she is pregnant (I though she was just getting fatter) so hopefully if she does come back it won't be for too long. I hate sitting near here. It doesn't help that she is lazy, incompetent, and eats stinky fish at her desk for lunch at least once a week - sometimes the smelly fish is breakfast.

I just don't get it...I never use the phone at work for indepth personal calls...I just don't want the entire office to know all my business. Apparently, it doesn't bother a lot of people.

Well, thought I'd give this another Friday bump...today's topic of choice: home buying and the importance of location. She's outlined all the inappropriate places to live in the surrounding 50 miles (which includes, apparently, my neighborhood).

There is nothing this woman is not an expert on! Nothing! She needs her own talk show...so at least then I can TURN HER OFF!!!!

Well, at least she won't be your neighbor, too, Mal! :teeth:

My co-worker is quiet today because I'm the only one here and I just don't chat with him because he annoys me.

I did hear him giving someone the wrong information about passports on the phone, though. We work at a college--I'm not sure why he feels he's qualified to dispense that kind of info but whatever. :confused3 It was probably a confused wrong number.

Is she doing this through a speaker phone?

My DH worked next to a guy that insisted on doing all of his personal business through the speaker phone. My husband has learned that this guy's daughter is white trash, the son is worthless, the wife is an alcoholic, who's cheating on whom in town, everything about golf you've ever wanted to know, why the board members at the country club are corrupt, and the list goes on and on and on......all through this guy's conversations on the phone.

DH complained once to this guy's supervisor but it didn't do any good. Luckily, DH's office is now in a different building and far from this madness.

Maleficent13, maybe you ought to get on the phone to someone and loudly complain about how one of your co-workers gabs on the phone all the time about non-work related stuff. Tell the person in your phone conversation that you heard that management is getting together to discuss possible corrective actions for this person if she doesn't get her act together and get to work instead of being on the phone all the time......or something like this. :teeth:

omg...I might have to do this...

You have strange coworkers. Didn't you have one that only talked with post-it notes?
