We would like to try eating at the cow fish for the first time in October and for a first timer, who has never eaten sushi, what would you recommend from their? I know I could just order a burger but I would like to step out of my comfort zone.

I LOVE Cowfish!!! We had a great meal there, I recommend trying for a table on the outside deck. Great people watching! I had Mark's Roll, and it was delicious. My husband had a burger and loved it.

If you just want to try sushi, but still want the safety net of a burger, order the Bento Box. Its a small 4 piece sampler roll and a mini-burger. That way if you hate the roll, you aren't left with nothing to eat. Its a great way to try it. :-)

They actually have a Taste Explosion Roll which is a spicy bacon cheeseburger in roll form. I was actually surprised by how well the 'burgushi' worked

I would recommend one of the Bento boxes as well. It is a good variety of food, and you get both sushi and a little burger. The sushi roll in my Bento box was excellent, but I don't remember which I ordered.

I would also recommend the bento box. I would suggest you try a Califonia Roll. This is good basic sushi as long as you are okay with crab and avacado.

Another vote for the bento boxes. You get a tiny cheeseburger, some side and some sushi. I always forget which rolls I've tried, but I've been there twice, and both were good. But I agree that the California Roll is a good one to start with.

The "burgushi" is strange to me, I've been hesitant to try it. Burger in a sushi roll, I don't know, it sounds weird but it's probably good. Maybe I'll give that a go next time.

I am so looking forward to eating here.......we adore sushi.........

It seems to be getting consistently good reviews which is great to hear :)

Thanks for the great responses, I think I'm gonna try one of the bento boxes.

We ate there for the second time a couple of weeks ago. SO good!

I second the recommendation of the Bento box, California Roll (although this is not the California Roll pictured here. I think this is the Firecracker/Shrimp Tempura)

Looks like they got new serving plates for the bento boxes. When we were there in february, there was no place to put the soy sauce, haha. And yes, We subbed the edamame for more fries.
