I started reading the pinned FAQ but got overwhelmed and most of the information is regarding testing in Orlando for return to Canada. If you‘ve left Canada recently where did you get tested? My husband and son both had covid in December/January. My husband had a PCR test but I have no idea where to get verification of his positive result. I’m feeling a little stressed about all these details and we leave in 8 days

I had the same thing. My PCR was done at Shoppers so I went in a few weeks ago and had them print me out the travel form. I would try and contact either the testing centre directly or your health unit, and hopefully they can email you the form that you need. I thought my screenshot like yours would be enough, but it isn't because it doesn't have all the required info. Good Luck ... because with that printout, you do not have to get tested to return to Canada if you are driving across the border.
My understanding is that whoever had the positive Covid test after 10 days and before 180 days does not need to be tested again when entering the USA and when entering Canada. Am I mistaken?
Those are Canadian rules for entering Canada. The U.S. also has an additional form that requires the traveler to validate (along with the positive test result) that you are cleared for a travel. I believe a letter from a health professional is also passable, but the form may still need to be signed. Check the guidelines for U.S. entry for exact details. The 10 days and 180 days that you noted are the Canadian rules for re-entry into Canada. But the rules are different for entering the U.S.
I believe that recovery letter for entering the US is ONLY if you are flying. My understanding is that if I am driving, I don't need anything to enter the USA other than being fully vaccinated, and to return home, I have the 180 day window to use my letter for travel to return to Canada without the need to be re-tested. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my household that can prove we had covid due to a damaged PCR and the rules on testing changing just before my DH contracted it. So 2 will need re-entry antigen tests but I will not. It's all very confusing.
Sheesh! I don’t understand why it’s so darn expensive in BC! And why these sane companies like Shoppers charge double here. And our Costcos, Walmarts and Rexall doesn’t even offer it.
I was able to contact the testing site directly and get our positive results emailed to me. It’s the proper long form not the government site. HTH
I'm not sure how far ahead you can book at Shoppers but yesterday (March 6th) I booked an Antigen Test at Rexall Pharmacy for March 25th as I fly on the 26th. Results are back in 20 minutes and the cost is $30.00.
Border guards? It's the airline's responsibility to check test results - at least in our experience.We recently left and returned. Feb 17 - 27
We booked a rapid antigen test at Shopper's for our trip into the US. I'm in Alberta. So it was 40.00 for each of us. And in our city, shopper's was our only option. That was the most nerve wracking 15 minutes was waiting for the negative test result. And then for the boarder guards to not even ask for proof of our negative test result
All I can say is...no one checked..... in Edmonton or Toronto. We had our test results in our carry-on in my document folder ready to show someone. Maybe it's due to the fact that we were actually running to catch our connection in YYZ. Westjet cancelled our first choice for a connection flight, and we questioned them about the timeline of the one they rebooked us onto. They had reassured us that we would make the connection. We did, we were running (good thing I had been going to the gym before the trip
