The Canadian Govt website is contradictory....the part below I posted says no testing to arrive by land, air or water....but...if you look further in the website there is a section on cruising and that section says you do still need to test.....it is just so confusing. But, rumor (from a few articles online) is that the Canadian govt is supposed to drop all vaccines and testing requirements at the end of the month. Will that change DCL's testing for the Canada cruise....who knows!!!
The Magic is not back yet to NYC. After the Transatlantic we may have a better idea with the first Bermuda sailing. We are on the one Canada sailing on the Magic and even though I just read that testing for vaccinated guests entering by land, air or WATER has been dropped....DCL is still requiring us to pre cruise test. From the Canadian Gov website:
Pre-entry testing is not required
Pre-entry tests are not required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children under the age of 12 are not required to provide a valid pre-entry test result, if they are accompanying a fully vaccinated adult.
Children who are less than 5 years old are not required to test, regardless of their vaccination status.
So, it looks like DCL is the one requiring it still. My gut feeling is they are still requiring testing because Bermuda still requires it and we are sandwiched between 2 Bermuda sailings and it is easier to just say all NY cruises need pre cruise testing.
