At the moment, the cruise line wants vaccinated passengers to get a COVID test two days before sailing.
I'll be at WDW at that time.
So:
1. Are tests available on property?
- If I need to go off-property to get a test, I'll do it, but, it'll mean a bit of work to get to a place that offers rapid results.
2. Will they test me at Post Canaveral, or do they absolutely require a test beforehand?

Testing ahead of time is entirely optional.

"Fully vaccinated Guests who do not upload the required pre-trip test results into the Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day must be tested at the terminal before boarding and will be charged. The cost of embarkation tests for fully vaccinated Guests will be $95 (CAD) + GST for the initial antigen test, and, if needed, $160 (CAD) + GST for a confirmatory PCR test, charged at the time of service."

(This is for an Alaska cruise, obviously something out of Port Canaveral would show pricing in USD.)

For sailings departing US and Canadian ports on or after June 7, 2022, fully vaccinated Guests who upload their pre-trip test results to the Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day will be exempt from embarkation testing. All other fully vaccinated Guests must be tested at the terminal before boarding and will be charged for the cost of the test. The cost of embarkation tests for fully vaccinated Guests will be $74.00 (USD) plus tax for the initial antigen test, and, if needed, $125.00 (USD) plus tax for a confirmatory PCR test, charged at the time of service. For Canada sailings, the cost of embarkation tests for fully vaccinated Guests will be $95.00 (CAD) plus GST for the initial antigen test, and, if needed, $160.00 (CAD) plus GST for a confirmatory PCR test, charged at the time of service. Completing pre-trip testing prior to embarkation day enhances the efficiency of boarding the ship and confirms you are negative for COVID-19 prior to traveling to the terminal.

There are no testing sites on WDW property. There are CVS & Walgreens locations near WDW that offer same-day test results.

Tests are not available on property, but you could do a remote proctored test from your hotel through Emed or another similar provider.

If it were me I would order a proctored test kit to use in my hotel room. They send you the tests in advance and you take them over a video call.

It'll be a waste of a day, as I'll need to find a place, get a Lyft to and fro,

Or, you can wait and test at the port. But, this may be more expensive than getting a Walgreens/CVS test

Bring proctored rapid antigen tests. They work for ages two and up. They cost about $25 each. Just need a phone or tablet or computer and WiFi or cell service.

I'm not sure what all of that means. Does it mean that the testing service will send me photos to upload to the "Safe Passage?" Here's yet another piece of tech to annoy me!

They setup a video call with you to watch you take the test. They will then give you results you can upload to Safe Passage. I just ordered a set of 6 for my upcoming cruise in August.

They is neither. They is the telemedicine provider that comes with the testing kit you buy.

And with that they will monitor the test for you and give you the results. Notice that they have specific packages for various cruise lines. There are no DCL specific ones, so I bought these.

If you order from Disney's vendor Inspire Diagnostics using the safepassge website, it would be Inspire. Otherwise, who ever made that particular test kit would handle the virtual portion.
