Covering Chipboard for Autograph Book Cover

How do you cover a chipboard album cover with scrapbook paper, while also making it durable enough to carry around in the parks for autographs? If I just glued the paper to the front, like I might do for a scrapbook that will be well taken care of at home, I think the paper might start to peel off after going in and out of my bag all day.

Should I wrap the paper around the edges, like if I were wrapping a present? Then maybe seal it with Mod Podge? What do you guys think?

For the ones I make, I use scotch quick dry glue, make sure I get right up to the edge. I place mine in ziplock baggies to help prevent damage. They hold up pretty well. My girls took the same books on 2 seperate trips and the corners are just a bit bent, but the paper is still stuck. :)
 
I did World Showcase book on the covers I used a single page of cardstock & laminated it - I also laminated the whole book after we got home my boys are pretty ruff on things
