I know that we can purchase espressos/lattes and other specialty coffee drinks at the Cove Cafe.

But I've been reading here that they also have treats/snacks there.

Can anyone tell me what they have there?
And are they included or do we need to pay for them?

Is there a menu online anywhere?

TIA:goodvibes

The treats are free. In the morning there are muffins and things like that, in the afternoon little tea sandwiches, fruits etc. No menu, it is just what ever is put out in the cold cabinet. It is self serve. I have seen small slices of cake, cookies, cream puffs, tuna, all sorts of stuff.

On the Dream in April they had huge chocolate covered strawberries in the afternoon!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Also about the Cove Café (hope I'm not totally hijacking!): I've read about a punch card for beverages there. Does anyone know if that's the kind where you buy so many and the next one is free or the kind where you buy the card that has X number of drinks on it and they punch them as you get them?

Thanks for the info about the snacks, though - did not know that but will totally check it out!

Yes its a Cove Card, they mark your card and for every 5 you get a free one. Having two people enjoying cove coffee it adds up quick, I have one ready to bring back in July, buy one get one then........

Great info! Is there a menu that shows what drinks they sell there?

(And specifically, do they have soy milk for lattes?)

so we can bring back our card from a previous cruise, and just keep that going til we reach our free coffee? Now I'll have to search for my last one......

I have done it in the past, whats the worst that can happen? Same with my beer mug token. (This will cause some ire in some people on this board :lmao:)

Will be cruising for the first time on the Wonder this coming fall.

If someone could take a post a picture of the Cove Cafe's recent posted "menu" on this thread I would be so grateful :flower3::flower3: I'd love to get an idea of what beverages are available and what the prices are. Thanks.

(Disney wouldn't change offerings and prices between the Alaska and Mex. Riviera cruises would they??)

Offerings and prices are similiar to what Starbucks or the other coffee places serve/charge. But you can also get some alcoholic beverages there as well.

ON the boards they have the standard Latte, Mocha and Cappucinos. They also have several named coffees that have different liquors added. I believe a small size is about 4 dollars and a large is 5, but I honestly don't remember. I think pricing is less than Starbucks, because the small is a pretty decent size and large is really big for coffee. I have only had the standard skinny latte and my husband had a cappuccino once, he said it was great, best he has had, till he had one in Palo! They also serve espresso and Americano, which is pretty much espresso that has some hot water added to make it more like coffee. At least that is what it looked like to me. I think it is a great place to relax, if the weather is nice you can sit outside in some really comfy chairs and watch the world go by as you sip your beverage and read. Can't wait to be there in November! I hope the Cove on the Dream is a nice as the Wonder and Magic!

OP, I haven't ever seen a menu for the Cove Cafe. They have a line of flavoured syrups that can be added to hot/cold beverages.

I love Iced Mocha Lattes when they are made well. I bring my own coffee, chocolate and cups to Disney & make my own at the condo. I don't think I will be bringing my supplies on the Dream, so I hope their Iced Mochas are yummy. I like starting my day off with one. What deck is the Cove Cafe on? I should have booked my room as close to that place as possible :)

Neither have I, but I thought maybe I'd missed it somewhere.

I'm hoping I can get an iced latte or a soy latte (if it's freezing out there) -- not too complicated I hope. ;)

Cove Cafe is on deck 11 by the adult area and there is another one on deck 4.

Are you allowed to just help yourself to the food if you aren't buying a drink or do you have to buy a drink first?

Thanks - I didn't like to risk it last time!

We cruised a 4 day Wonder in 2007 and a 7 day eastern on the Magic in 2009. I went to the Cove cafe nearly every day for either a "pre-breakfast" snack OR a mid-afternoon snack for my kids. Often, we'll get up and hit the pool at 7 am, before anyone else is there. It's been great. Then go back to the room, change and get some breakfast.

The poor barista may have thought I was a jerk when I'd walk in seeming to be the first customer of the day, and then would simply grab some pastries and go. I think I remember them having small bits of cheese and crackers in the afternoon. Since their plates and portions are small, it's been the perfect "tide me over" on our prior cruises.

(Sadly, I don't drink coffee, so the snacks are all I go for.)
