courtyard rooms at wilderness lodge?

being our first time on disney property...

is courtyard view, parking lot view? i am just making sure because i wanted to get the basic room as we would not be spending a whole lot of time there.

also, he asked if i had any requests. i just asked for nonsmoking. is there something special i should be asking for?

I believe the order of "views" is:

Standard;
Woods view; and
Courtyard view.

With Courtyard being the most pricy. When we were there last year, we reserved a woods view and it was very nice.

I believe that any parking lot views would be on the standard view level.

You could also request bed type...they have rooms with King Size bed, with two queen size beds and one queen with bunk beds.

thanks so much everyone. i just made a reservation today for next week (how last minute i know) and when they offered courtyard i just assumed it was the basic room. i did not know there was a category called standard.

i was quoted 169.00 which seemed fair for a deluxe resort and i went with it. i will call again tonight to see the cost of the standard room is available at what cost as a beautiful view is not needed (or a fridge). we are mainly there to do the parks.

my husband and i just decided that we did not want to pay a whole week of portofino deluxe room (fan club rate-232) and wondered what else was out there. and i think we will be happy there (we have been to artist point twice for dinner and walked around the grounds).

Keep the courtyard at $169. probably one of the best views on property.

We stayed at WL in may (beautiful place) and we had a courtyard view which is the priciest and considered the best, but I think I really would have preferred a woods view....I know theres a handful of woodsview rooms that face the MK, and you can see the fireworks, and they are the same price as all woodsview. The courtyard was nice, but we were on the top floor and had a private balcony, so if you were sitting you couldnt see anything

Courtyard view is AWESOME! If you are on the 5th floor (I think) it is true, the balconies are "solid" and so you have to stand to see anything. We were put in a woods view room once and switched because we did not like that.

If you get a courtyard view that faces the lake (sorry, don't have room numbers to give you, but if you look at a map you'll see what I mean) you get the awesome view of the pool and then you can watch the electric parade on the water...usually at 9pm. We really enjoyed this and it was the best room we ever had there!

We just returned on Tuesday. We had a courtyard view also for $169.00. We were in room 2147, which is lobby level. At first I didn't think I'd like it, but it was actually very nice. We looked out across the courtyard - the pool was off to the right. The balcony was not solid, and even though we were on lobby level, we were still up off the ground. Very convenient to getting everywhere. It was our first time and we really enjoyed this hotel and will go back in a heartbeat.

We jsut got back from a split stay at POP and WL. We reserved a woods view at Wl but when we got there my husband asked if there were any complimentary upgrades and they gave us a courtyard view. It was AWESOME. We were on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view. We could see the water parade at night and some of the fireworks over the top of the roof. It was a great room.
