I currently have a BCV ressie for the end of August. I am very excited to be there for the first time. I have stayed at BWV, my home, and love it as well as OKW.

Courtyard in DTD just came out with a $20.03 rate per night. My DD and I are just making a quick 2 night trip (which is why I love BCV location) but I am wondering if at these rates I should book (BTW, it's non-refundable) and add 2 nights DVC to a trip later in the year.

I am just wondering if I will be disappointed "off property" and non-DVC. Anyone with similiar experience I would appreciate.

Sandy

P.S. I know I am comparing apples to oranges but $20.03 seems like such a steal!

Where did you find that discount? Personally, there will always be a difference between DVC and outside. We stayed outside DVC last Dec and had mixed feelings about our hotel room, but we didn't want to use our points for a two day trip.

I fully understand a "bargain" when I see one....that is a deal!

It was on the budget board

"Good only Sun through Thursday, the Courtyard by Marriott is having their 20.03 rates Aug 1 thru Sept 30. Call them directly at 407 828-8888 and just asked for the $20.03 rate. (It can't be booked through Central Reservations, 8am-7pm daily only)."

and I called and confirmed. I would have booked immediately but it is pay now and non-cancellable but they will allow you to change names on the ressie if your plans change.

Well, that is a fantastic savings. I would definetly save my points and book at that rate. You should go for it. I will tell you that what happened at our hotel back in Dec. We stayed at the Royal Plaza....it was ok, but rooms were alittle stuffy. Although, they were relatively large rooms. But the one thing that really got to my DH was that when we went to take the transportation service to the parks.....the bus was not a True Disney Bus, but a greyhound/Tour bus. We had our DD and my DFIL.....we had to stand up and they dropped us off at the Ticket/Transportation center other then the entrance to the MK. We were very disappointed by that service and felt like a sardine....I mean they must of had at least 85 people crammed onto that bus.

If that really doesn't bother you then that is for you to decide. We had never stayed at DTD, so there is always a first. I hope that you can use this info as just a little piece of help in your decision.
