Got my first envie yesterday and also got one out.
I'll be sending a second one tomorrow to you Brumeiser, as I had also gotten about a dozen inserts yesterday from older papers (3/24 - 4/7) and can't stuff it all in the same envelope that goes out monday.

I have been on this train for a few years. I used to receive and send 2 big envies every week. I jumped off last summer for about a month due to being very ill during my pregnancy. Ever since I got back on, I only receive a small envie every week. Anyone else notice a change in coupon volume? Just curious if I am the only one that noticed.

I agree the coupons have not been as plentiful as previously and not so many or often of the ones you use the most

I heard on the TV that some people were suggesting the economy is improving because coupon usage is down, as in way down. But, as it turns out, at least according to this article, it's not the economy improving but it is the coupons that are being released. I have to say they are not as good as they once were. I still seem to get a lot that I can use. However, I am noticing that the more "healthy" we eat, the less we use.

I think coupon use is down because grocery stores have made their policies more strict. I think shows like Extreme Couponing have done more harn than good.
