It has come to my attention that certain riders are NOT taking expiring coupons out of the envies. Please ck your envies thoroughly (not just for coupons you want or need) and remove the expiring ones. It is an essential part of the train to keep only viable/usable coupons circulating. Complaints related to this and failure to send out envies on time will result in your being pulled from the train.
I know this sounds harsh, but it is the only way to keep the train fair and profitable to ALL of our riders. Please do your best to follow the rules! Thanks so much for those who have been traveling according to schedule!

ATTENTION: TO ALL RIDERS......THIS IS A REPOST OF RULES

PLEASE READ VERY CAREFUL.....SOME RIDERS ARE NOT FOLLOWING ALONG AND ARE AT RISK OF BEING REMOVED FROM THE TRAIN. ::cop:

Each participant will create an envie (envelope) with coupons. Preferably around 50 coupons are needed for an envie to get started. I will collect each "rider's" (persons participating in the train) name and address, then pass them along to all the other riders. After each rider lets me know their envie is complete and ready to go, we will essentially begin to swap envies via snail mail. Each week we will move down the list of riders and if everyone plays correctly, each rider will receive an envie of coupons each week to select coupons from.

Now onto the rules of the train......
1. Each rider MUST start w/ an evie of 50 coupons.(We can change this if riders are having a hard time acquiring coupons) Use only coupons that have expiration dates of more than 20-30 days on them.

2. Remove ONLY the coupons you will use within 2 weeks.

3. REPLACE coupons taken.( Ex. If you remove 5 coupons from an envie, you MUST replace them with 5 similar coupons. Say you take 2 food coupons, 1 B1G1F, 2 household coupons, you must put back 5 similar coupons. Keep in mind...if u remove a $1. off single item coupon, please replace it with another discount single item coupon. This ensures the envies remain viable for all riders)

4. When you (a rider) receives an evie, you must send the envie to the next scheduled rider (the address I provided you) within 3 days.

5. Restaurants & local store coupons are not allowed in envies.

6. REMOVEoutdated coupons or coupons that will expire within 5 days time and please try to replace them if possible.

7. You send out your envie that you receive (with replacements) to the same rider (address I provided) each week, no exceptions.

8. Each rider must post to the thread or IM me when an envie is received and mailed out. This is very important.

9. If for some reason you will be away or cannot commit to these rules, plz IM me so that I can adjust the train accordingly.

Unfortunately if a rider makes a habit of holding envies too long, riding privileges may be revoked. We want all our riders to get their evies weekly. I know everyone will understand. If you have any questions plz message me.

I've decided to post my coupon wish list so that everyone can see exactly what I am talking about. Bascially it is posting a wish list for coupons for things you use the most often. Here goes.....

Suavitel (fabric softner)
Any doggy treats (preferably Denta Bones/Stix products)
Joy dishwashing detergent
Duncan Hines box cake mix/ brownies etc.
any deli meat coupons
Mayonaisse coupon
Basic (by Charmin) toilet paper

Hopefully we can each post a "need" list and respond if we have something the other needs and possibly trade or just share. This helps riders get some of the coupons they really need.

Finally I got my envie.
I am done and I am forwarding it to Rachel it will go out in tomorrows mail. I put in lots of extras because some expire soon and I won't have a need for pet stuff so I put all of that in there too.

I understand why it took so long my envie came from New Orleans but it would be nice to get an update of when it was sent out.

I didn't get to send my envie out Saturday like I previously posted because I had to replace over half of them because they were about to expire. When I realized this, I needed a little more time to get it together. So it will be going out today.

Vannigirl- I sent out your envie today. Sorry it took a while...my kids just started preschool and kindergarten, so it has been crazy around here. I put extra coupons in there though to try to make it up to you.

To Gymbomom: I sent your envie this morning, I also put some extra in there. There were a few that are real close to expiring, so I tagged those with a sticky so you could use or trash them right away. Hope you get some good ones.
