I graduated from an envelope to a 3-ring binder w/ baseball card sleeves. Love love love it.

I started with just a plain white envie. Then I realized I was spending too much time sorting through the contents in the stores looking for coupons so I got a heavy paper accordion coupon organizer from the Dollar Store. I used that for quite a while and was happy with it. Then I came across really nice heavy duty plastic accordion organizers on clearance at CVS. They held much more and didn't rip like the Dollar Store paper organizers. The compartments have little tabs on top to designate a category so it's easy to find what I want.

I know a lot of people use the baseball card holder type and some use index card boxes. They're all good. By trial and error, you just kind of have to figure out what style works best for you.
