We bought DVC about 1 1/2 years ago. We have been to Disney three times so far (Saratoga Springs 2 times and just in February, to Animal Kingdom Lodge -our home base). This Saturday we are off to Maui after trading in points for a condo there and this August we are off to London on another trade. Although we are pushing the limit with the England trip for finances, we wouldn't have even been able to think of Hawaii and England in the same year. Next year we will tame it back a bit to save for a big trip in 2012.

I have two young boys and this is what we like to do with extra money- travel and show them the world (yes Disney, but other parts of the world as well).

I can't wait to hear about Maui. We are hoping to go to HI the year they open the new DVC at Oahu. Again something that we dreamed about but never thought it would be possible. The airfare looks crazy for us. If you find a budget friendly way to make the flight I'd love to know. I also want to do the ABD London and Paris trip. We have never been international and thought it would be a good way to get our feet wet. The ABD trip will be awhile off because it is still expensive even if one person goes on points. We have also thought about doing one of the Alaska or Northern European cruises with one person on points and one paid. DVC just gives us so many more options becaue travel is part of our monthly budget.

As a teacher- the gift of life experiences you are giving them will make a world of difference in their development. They will see and experience things that other kids only read about. It also makes history so much more interesting for them when they can say, "We saw the White House, Constitution, Lincoln Memorial, etc. when we went to DC." or "Oh yea, we walked by the Colosseum when we were in Italy." (-that would be one lucky kid . )

Yep, I survived it. She was remarkably well behaved!! I kept telling her how good she would feel after not having had a shower for six months!! I guess she believed me because she didn't try to escape from beginning to end.


I did get to the p.o. and your envie has been mailed. Hope there are lots in it you can use.

It was her one spa day of the summer.

Got your envie today. I have not had a chance to look at them yet. I'm sure there will be something I can use in there. There always is.
