Couple questions from a cruise newbie

We are gathering quotes etc and getting ready to book in the next few days. We are going to book on 2/29 Wonder. We looked at cat.10 and now are leaning towards cat. 11 as the SPH rooms are not available. Want info from those who have stayed in a cat. 11 room. Has anyone been upgraded from cat. 11? Thinking about possibly trying to upgrade at port. Who would you book through? We have quotes from DU, Sam's Club, AAA, All-Season's travel. Sam's is 70.00 less than DU and AAA. AAA same price as DU but you get the free mugs.DU has a 100.00 rebate over AAA. All Season's significantly higher (300). Leaning towards DU but would just like some opinions. Any info will be greatly appreciated from the wonderful people on this board. Thanks!!!

I can't answer your question about who to book through because we used a private TA, but I can answer your question about a Cat 11 room. We had one last year and it worked out just fine for us (family of 4). We booked another one this year. Would it be nice to have a more spacious cabin...maybe. But, we were never in our cabin long enough to enjoy the space anyway! We felt then, and still feel now, that the extra money was better spent in other places. Long story short, I don't think you'll have any problem with a cat 11 cabin. Oh, and we weren't upgraded, so I can't comment on that either. We've had specific cabin numbers both times because we book so early.

I have friends that just booked with Cruise 411. Thay got a great deal. $600.00 less that antother quote they had received. I will be checking with them for our 3/6/04 cruise.T
