Couple of Questions

We will be at Universal on Saturday, 3/3 and Sunday, 3/4 - staying off-site.

I have a couple of ticket questions. Can you add the park hopper and the express pass after you are already in the park?

Is the express pass really worth it since it doesn't work on FJ and you can only use in once per ride?

Thanks.

It's been a few years, but the times I have been there, you could buy the express pass at a booth right after you go in.

I never thought the price was worth it, as it is a one time deal per ride.

Whether it is worth it or not depends on the crowds. If the park is crowded it is DEFINITELY worth it.Standby lines can be over an hour easily.Riding once relatively quickly is better than waiting an hour.If it is not busy, then no it is probably not worth it.Express pass price goes up with the projected crowds.

You can add days or the park hopper option to your theme park tickets at Guest Services at either park...just remember to do it before you leave that day.

Express Plus passes can be purchased at any number of stores in either park. I would strongly suggest waiting to see what the lines are like before worrying about spending the money. EPs are date specific and non-refundable and are only good once through each participating attraction queue.

have to ask yourself, what is worth your time.
is standing in line for over 25 minutes worth your time?
do you have someone to talk with while in line to pass your time?

it's all subjective.

quite a few rides have the single rider lines.
use them.
it will cut your time wait.

you'll be at the parks for 2 days in a row.
do you plan to do everything in the park.
hop to the other park?

if you don't buy the epp, be at the park early.
eat at off times.

make a plan based on the park maps you can see at the UO website.

make a list of the rides and shows you must do.
make a list of alternative rides/shows you would do if no long line.

do one park on saturday, the other on sunday.
or start at one park on saturday, upgrade to hoppers and do the other park the rest of the day.
switch on sunday the same routine.

if you have 2 day tickets and upgrade, you are upgrading both tickets.

find out the price for the upgrading and epp.
maybe you prefer to use the money saved for not buying them to spend on souvies or a meal at city walk.
