Couple of Questions?

Hi, I have a few questions if someone could answer it would be helpful. I made it into the Fall College Program and i got the role as a vacation planner? Has anyone here had this role before or know about it?
I read the paper that describes the role it sounds like Im working a ticket booth in front of the park and do crowd control. It also didnt say what park i am working at, do i figure this out when I arrive?
I was also wondering if there are safes or some sort of cabinet that you can lock, in the rooms. I am bringing my laptop xbox 360, games, etc and i want to keep them in a safe place. Is there a forum or something of some sort I can meet people that are coming down in Fall 2008 im not sure if there is a topic yet, or maybe a website. I would like to meet some people before i come down and hopefully find some roommates.
Last question, My Gf is coming down with me, and i was told that we can request a room right next to each other? is this true and how do i do so? I also want to know if its possible for me and her to get the same schedule's (shes working costume helper or something like that im not sure) I want to hang out with her as well, i dont want to be working when she isnt and when she is working i will be off?

You are correct in thinking that you will be working in a ticket booth. You will not be assigned one specfic park, but will rotate between all 4 on any given day.


I was also wondering if there are safes or some sort of cabinet that you can lock, in the rooms. I am bringing my laptop xbox 360, games, etc and i want to keep them in a safe place.

You will find a personal locker in your room that you can put a lock on. I kept some Dvds and games in there, but dont think the Xbox 360 will fit in it.
Looks very similar to an old school locker.

There is a facebook group listed in one of the other threads about all the Fall 08 CP program people. We had one as well when I came down and it was very beneficial.

Stand right next to each other in the check in line at Vista. This is where you will get your room assignments and the only chance you will really have to make requests. Usually they are filling up a building, so your chances are good if you are standing next to each other, that you will be able to find rooms near each other that wont be full.

Have no clue about this one. I didnt work either job so I dont know what their schedules are like. The college program schedules are usually pretty random and spread around, and schedules of the full time are done on seniority bases. Im not saying it cant be done, but I wouldnt make too many plans. Also your schedule will change weekly, so it would be rather difficult to keep 2 peoples schedules the same when working seperate jobs.

I didn't know anyone that had either you or your gf's roles while I was on my program but it seems like you would have similar schedules. Costuming has pretty typical day time hours and I can't imagine having to work non day time hours as a vacation planner.
Unfortunaly there's no way to request your schedules be the same. You can request to have the same days off though. Just send a general scheduling question on the hub requesting that you have xday off each week. (they'll teach you how to find the scheduling part on the hub in your training)
