Hello all, We've recently booked through expedia for 1st - 16th December with first week in Disneys Carribean Beach and Second week in Sheraton Safari Lake Buena Vista, Flights with Virgin from Manchester. (2 adults no kids!)

Q1 -I would like to know how I make advance dinner reservations as buying my MVMCP tickets proved to be a bit of a nightmare as the UK disney ticket number wouldnt sell them as I wasnt a US resident. Anyways with the help of other dis'ers I am going to be booking them online direct with disney US. (is that how other UK people have done it???)

Q2 -Is the magical express airport trasfers service ok to use or would you advise getting one of the tranfers companies to pick us up??

:earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

i don't know how it works for luggage if you're coming from overseas, but my mom used the magical express buses when she flew down to WDW to be with us for the weekend.....my mom (who hates disney) loved the magical express....she thought they were wonderfully efficient..

to back up....since i hadn't pre-arranged it for her, i thought she couldn't take the DME......so i told her to use the Mears service (a private transfer company).....but i did have her listed on our room, so that when mears brought her to the front of OKW, the bell service would bring her around to our villa...

anyway....when she arrived at MCO, she went out and found where Mears picks up...she told the Mears person that she wanted to go to Disney's Old Key West.....they told her that the Mears bus for OKW wasn't leaving for at least 30 minutes and she should go over to the DME buses to get there faster...my mom told the woman that her daughter (me) had told her to take Mears to the hotel.....the woman told my mom (78 years old) that the DME would be faster for her (and free besides) so she should go over there..

so my mom walked back to where "the people with the big white gloves were waving their hands to get people's attention".....the people "with the big white gloves" (those big mickey hands), right away asked her if they could help her....she explained that she was headed for OKW but hadn't made a reservation for the DME bus.....they said no problem....they gave her a ticket and pointed her in the direction of the OKW bus....she got on it (it was for OKW and SSR) and it pulled out after about 5 minutes....

she said they were all very sweet and helpful and accomodating...
to get back to the airport, she called a day in advance to the DME number, told them when her flight was, they told her what bus she should take from OKW and the next day that was the bus she took to take her back to the airport...

needless to say, she was very impressed with the service....(and she is NOT a fan of WDW - she just flies down from detroit to spend a few days with us when we're on our annual vacation there)...

but she didn't use them for picking up her luggage (she only had carryon) so i can't tell you how that works.....

thanks very much for this info...you really put loads of detail into the answer so just the kind of thing i was looking for!

....u might be able to help me with something else too.....say for example when your mom comes to stay with you at disney does she just book her flight and stop in your room?? Do you have to pay any extra for having another adult in your room?? You see we have booked for 2 adults but a third may be able to come last minute and we werent sure how it would effect prices we have to pay for the room. I think as the 2 of us have paid a "room rate" as opposed to a per person the cost should stay the same??

Forget the UK ticket numbers - call the US numbers direct:

To book your MVMCP tickets call 00 1 407-934-7639

When I booked mine they sent them via courrier and they arrived within 10 days :)
Check out the information thread on the main DIS Boards:

MVMCP

For ADRs you call the WDW-DINE number 00 1 407-939-3463

As you are staying onsite you can call 90 days before your arrival date and book 10 days worth of ADRs in one go. Just have you Disney confirmation number to hand (if you have booked through a TA, you may need to ask them for this).

They usually charge you a supplement if there's a third or fourth adult in a room. The room rate includes one or two adults.

Thanks - i'll look more into room rate changing if my sister ends up coming closer to the time...

would you know if this is a 12 digit number??? I have lots of confirmation numbers but this says hotel confirmation number???

Not sure how long the confirmation number - I'm sure when you ring they will be able to identify the correct number for you.

Anyone else now what the WDW confirmation looks like?

With thanks to you lot I managed to book ADR's and MVMCP tickets last night.

Going to MVMCP on the 6th December 2 tickets, international delivery, through US disney site no problem!!!! :cool1:

With that in mind we have book Crystal Palace character dinner for 4:50pm the night we are going to MVMCP!! :cool1:

Also booked Chef Mickeys on Saturday 3rd at 7:50 to allow us time to get there from CBR!! :cool1:

The CM i spoke to was lovely, really friendly and very helpful! We were laughing our socks off booking them, were both 26 years old girls and getting excited about breakfast with mickey and dinner with pooh!!

Think i'll post this in a new thread as its a new question really........keep it her in case anyone see's it though........We still have the dilema of whether we should book the UK version of the disney dining plan?? £19.99 for each night your there......

I have read on some threads more focused on US deals that you must purchase the dining plan as part of your MYW ticket package........however on the UK web site I cant see anything about this?? Does anyone know if this is the case as in the UK we have differant park tickets available to us dont we?? We were thinking of purchasing the 14 day ultimate ticket for £159 so would we be able to seperately purchase the disney dining plan?????

Ohhhh soooooooo many questions!! Would love to hear from any of you who have been and paid for the dining plan and your thoughts on it, is it restrictive like you want your lunch but the places you can use your counter sservice happen to be he opposite side of the park!!!
