First: Is the Fantasmic! dinner package eligible?
Second: Is tax and/or gratuity included?

This may have been asked before or included in one of the pinned posts, but I can't find anything about it.

I am not sure about the Fantasmic! package, but I want to say yes it is included.

I am fairly certain TAX is factored in, but TIP is not. I think we added that for each meal to our room!

I figured the tax would be included but how would one figure out the tip? I mean, I know if I bought wine or beer they would charge me extra for that but I'd want to tip on the whole meal, not just the additional cost.

Fantasmic package is included.

Tax is included. Tip is not. They bring the bill with the cost showing before processing your DDP credits, so you can figure the tip.

So, I would get a bill with the dollar amount of our meal and I'd figure the tip on that? Then after they deduct the portion of the meal covered by the DDP I'd pay the balance + tip?

Exactly! They make it easy for you to figure the tip. They want their servers happy :)

OK, that helps me figure my math to figure out whether the DDP is worth it. I like the idea of paying up front but I also don't want to over pay. We are a steak and potato type family so it might actually be to our benefit. If we did the plan it would be the regular one with the 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 snack. We'd eat breakfast in our room, QS for lunch and TS for dinner.

A couple more questions: Can you choose the number of days you want or do you have to buy the package for every day you are there, including arrival and departure day? I may be able to use our credits on arrival day but we are leaving in the morning and probably won't be able to use all our credits that day. Also, for the QS meal, if you don't want the appetizer, can you exchange it for a snack, like a piece of fruit or a muffin or beverage?

my understanding is you have to take it for as many nights as you are there.

so that would mean if you use credits on your arrival day (1 QS, 1 TS and 1 snack) and continue to do so every day on your trip, you wouldn't have any left on your departure day anyway.

It is based on the number of nights, and you have to get it for every night you're there. You can use more than one credit per day/night, though. Once you check in, all the credits are available to use at any time. You could have 3 TS meals on your first full day if you want.

QS meals do NOT come with an appetizer. You get the entree, dessert, and drink. Your dessert/drink portions CAN be traded for anything that is a snack item on the QS menu, but must be done when you order your entree.

Thanks. I'm good with that because I can get a water or just bring chips or something back to the room for "midnight snacking". I'm not really worried about not being able to eat it all. :)

sorry so many questions, but would a bagel with cream cheese or pastries be considered a snack or or QS?

So anything noted as a snack can be substituted for the dessert that comes with the QS meal?

Yes, but if you're going to use a QS at breakfast, you lose the dessert portion. Breakfast only includes the entree and drink. And remember, it has to be purchased WITH your meal.

We plan on eating breakfast in our room and so the QS would be for lunch. We're not big eaters at lunch so we'd just want to have the entree and beverage and then get chips or fruit or something portable to save for later.

Another stupid question - Beaches & Cream doesn't have appetizers, so would we just choose an extra side or milk shake in place of the app?

Appetizer is not included with any dining plan meal.
You get the drink, entree and dessert.
Tip is not included either for table service except at the 2 credit places that it is normally included CRT, HDDR, BBQ, etc.
