Country Inn & Suites

Has anyone stayed at the Country Inn and Suites at Calypso Cay and also at Lake Buena Vista? Is one cleaner, nicer, etc. than the other?

I've stayed at the LBV one and really enjoyed it. Friendly staff, breakfast was good and the free internet access in the room was a real bonus. While we were there last May they were replacing some of the furniture, sofa beds, chairs tables etc.

We stayed at Calypso Cay about 4 years ago. It was nice. We LOVED the pool, zero entry with a slide. We had lots of space, bedroom, living room, fridge & microwave with plenty of shelve space, 2 TV's. The morning breakfast (free) was also nice. It was just a couple of miles from DTD and maybe 10 minutes from Sea World. About 30 min from US. No resturants within walking distance, but fairly close by car.

I stayed here about 2 years ago and while the hotel was excellent (rooms, food, location) I was not thrilled with the pool location. It was a beautiful pool and very warm but it is surrounded by the parking lot and not a very nice view while using it.

Otherwise, it was great.

Are these time share or what? I just looked up Calypso Cay Looks GREAT but no rates page. Can anyone stay here?

We stayed at the Calypso Cay location in October and were very happy with it. Pic of the pool area below.

bscs, anyone can stay at the Country Inn, but it shares the pool with a timeshare condo building and the timeshare salesmen bring their potential clients into the breakfast room every weekday morning.

Pool was great, breakfast was good, room was good. We got a kidsuite, which gave the kids their own little alcove with bunk beds and TV and dh and I got a king bed. The room also had a fridge and micro.
