Anyone stayed here recently? I saw AAA has it listed as only a two diamond now and I'm a little worried about booking for December.

we just got back from ther today the hotel was nice the breakfast buffet was 4.99 and worth it! i would recommend going to www.golynx.com and buy a weekly pass so that if you wan to come back to the hotel before the pick-up times you can!

pigninnie are you sure you're talking about the right hotel? The continental breakfast is free at Country Inn and Suites.

That's interesting. I am considering staying here too. I see that AAA has it rated with 2 diamonds on the AAA website but the TourBook has it listed with 3 diamonds.

I love Country Inn & Suites. I have stayed in many of their hotels up & down the east coast. I was very disappointed in this one & will never stay there again.
We pre-paid a package that included Disney passes.
I requested a first floor room. I understand it was a request, but we were on the 4th floor.
We were promised 5 day Magic Your Way base tickets. Staff knew nothing about tickets upon check-in. Our prepaid package included 2 adult & 2 child passes. We were given 2 adult passes. We never did get the extra coupons & discounts as promised. We ended up using only 4 days of our 5 day passes.
The toilet clogged up 3 times. We came home from parks to find we had no shower curtain.
It was very noisy. Beds lumpy & uncomfortable. Children running through the halls screaming...Adults smoking in hallways...
I complained & I was offered an extra night, but I was unable to take advantage of it. We left on the 3rd day & moved to a better place.

I followed your problems on the thread you had and it made me change my reservations. We'll now be staying at POP. It's a little more money but at least I won't have to worry about things.

Thinking about booking the night before we check into CR at the Country Inn and Suites at LBV. But, I've read some reviews about "weird" (inconvenient?) parking...can anyone comment on that?

There's nothing worse than getting to a hotel at night with 2 sleepy kids and not be able to find a parking spot or you have to walk far to the hotel entrance. We'd like to avoid that!

Thanks!

I actually booked a room via priceline for our one night before we check into CBR. It is at the Country Inn Suites on Calypso Cay Way. Is this the same resort you all are talking about? I have read some ok reviews and some horrible ones... I paid $41 total on priceline so I am not expecting much.... I hope it is at least bug free!

I think the LBV one is on Apopka Vineland Road.

Either way, let's hope for bug free!

Stayed at Apopka-Vineland Road Country Inn and Suites 4 or 5 times over the past few years, I can't remember any problems. I do like its large breakfast area, no fighting for tables in a 15' x 20' room like some breakfast areas in some hotels. It is also off the main road so pretty quiet. The parking is a little odd at first, but there is additional parking at rear of hotel and behind shopping center which is next to hotel parking. Sometimes can find really good rates.

Which reminds me of stay at Country Inn and Suites Calypso Cay Way. Nothing like hearing a bunch of drunks walking down the hall at 11:30 at night and hear one yell to the another one "Hey, Wal-mart stays open until midnight, we can buy more beer there" Uh-oh.

We have stayed there a few times. The kids' suites rooms worked out wonderfully for us. Not sparkling clean, but not dirty. The parking lot borders a strip mall, and there isn't a lot of parking. If you park at the back of the building, at night- it's a little iffy. For the amount of time you spend in the room, it's worth it. We found a lot of English travelers staying there. Breakfast is nothing to write home about- just enough to get you to the parks. The pool is small. It's not Disney, but it's cheap! Good location too. Try Giordanos!!!
