Hi

This will be my 1st time at WDW during the holidays. I understand that the countries at Epcot have "storytellers" talk about their customs.

My question is , does this happen all day long? I would love to learn about their holiday traditions. I plan on spending the 11th at Epcot.

Any information would be great.
Thanks

Susan

Yes, that is called "Holidays Arround The World" and it does go on throughtout the day. As you enter the park, simply pick up one of those guide sheets that tell you what's going on that day. In it will list the times by country of when that countries' verision of "Santa" appears. It may be difficult to see them all in one day as WS opens at 11, but the timing of appearances in the past has made it possible to see at least 3 or 4 in a row. The costuming is beautiful, and the performers really get into character. I think you'll love it!

As you might expect, the China/Japan and Morrocan expos have the characters least like our 'Santa', but all are well worth seeing!

They have set times, and each presentation runs around 5-10 minutes. The times are listed in the showtime listing that you can get in the park. They seem to have them timed so you can catch most of them in one wrap around the WS. They are really interesting, and some of the storytellers are extremely animated. I really enjoyed the storytellers last year.

You will not be disappointed if you take the time to hear the storytellers! It has become one of my favorite things at EPCOT during the Christmas Season. The storytellers are a lot of fun, usually interact with the audience during their "show" and it's very interesting to learn about their culture and traditions. The Monkey King in China, Pere Noel in France and Father Christmas in the U.K. were my favorites this year. Father Christmas was very sweet, he gave me a lovely little kiss on the cheek. :) My favorite from last year was La Befana, the Italian Christmas Witch, she was great. Make sure you get pictures with them when it's over! :)
